Is this a black hat seo method or not?

I have just bought a product that enables me to add an ordinary html sales, squeeze, affiliate, page to a wordpress blog where it strips out the header, side bar, etc.. (NO it is not a plug-in or another theme).

Now, wordpress treats the new html pages just like any other page on the blog, which is especially useful for getting it pinged. Here is the problem, you have to copy all the text from your salespage, etc and place it in a "post" linked to that salespage so that wordpress and all the plugins can work their SEO luv.

Google and the other search engines see the text in the "post" but visitors see the HTML Salespage. I got to thinking, and I realised that I could add some more relevant keywords to the post since no-one would be really reading it.

The extra keywords might be a bit to much on the real HTML salespage, but in the "post" just for the search engines it would help the pages ranking. The more I thought about it, the more I realised, hey I could turn it into a 800 page article with relevant keywords to the salespage.

I could go even further and put a wordpress blog in a specific niche, use the general settings in wordpress to make the html sales page the front page, and then fill up the blog behind it with keyword rich posts and pages.

The thing is when does this cross the line and become black hat?

My mind is reeling with possibilities and I could really do with some help here resetting my moral compass.

seems like some kind of loophole... have you tested it out?... sounds like it would be in the little grey/gray area between white and black hat... are you keeping this product a secret because I would love to test it out

It is just the way wordpress works, it is a fundemental part of the way it is put together.
It shields the html page because the search engines are only interested in the "text" which you have to duplicate and put in if you want your seo plugins to work.

Just did not want to seem as if I was advertising it : )

Misread the post, my eyes are to blurry from updating hundreds of blogs. Thought you were feeding the searchengines one page and visitors a different one. Man I hate when WP updates

When your post and your page contain entirely different text.

If your post and your page both contain the same sales copy, it's just that one is in a WordPress blog post and the other is an HTML page... no problem.

But if your post is about dog training and your page is about tarot cards, you've crossed the line.

You know it did not even occur to me that you could go that far and do an entirely different post to the html page! I was thinking more along the lines of enhancing the sales copy with extra keywords. Your right though I can see this is open to abuse.

NO you were right. This product enables you to post a html page on your blog, without header, sidebar, etc. BUT you have to copy the text of your salespage into a linked post for seo wordpress plugins and pinging of your salespage to work.
