What's the deal with the "get your ex back" niche?

Hey guys,

So we all no that the "get your ex back" niche is a pretty profitable one, simply because of the emotions that it plays off.

What I don't get is all the copies and variations of the content online. To my knowledge, this sort of Intellectual Property can only be protected by copyright. It can't be protected with patents or anything else stronger than that.

Even so, why do people still go about blatantly plagiarizing content and where do you draw the line?

Cheers,

-Johnson.

Because people don't want to do the work themselves.

Not sure what plagiarism you're talking about, but one of the major players in the niche supplies his affiliates with a bunch of PLR content, which is then spread all over the place. There are also differences between some of the products themselves, so it's not like every single product is a total ripoff of the first one.

There's a ton of PLR content in this niche. That would be why there are copies.

  • Get Your Ex Back must be one of the most profitable niches out there because A) it touches deeply on emotions and B) it's something every human is eventually exposed to at here and there (we've all been dumped at least once, haven't we?).

      This basically.

Any time you can remove pain with your solution, especially physcological pain
you're talking about emotive buyers who leave rationale, price fear and other
factors behind them in the rush to remove the pain.

It's why it converts so well and why a few big players are starting to move
into this niche shortly with big backing.

To be honest, the similar/same content thing can be seen in many niches, I don't think the relationship niche is an isolated situation. But, yeah, like what others said about the PLR getting bandied around. The provider of this PLR asks that the articles be changed a little to make it unique but there will no doubt be those who can't be bothered to change it and post as is.

Niche like "getting your ex back" or "Acne cures" are tailor made for the Internet and IM - people are desperate for a"cure" and most of them don't feel comfortable talking about it with friends or family, so they turn to the internet for help

I don't think that it is a fair argument to single out this niche. Plagiarism runs rampant with regards to almost any niche, and unless content is a direct copy/paste infraction, it is very difficult to monitor or enforce.

The niche is very profitable, and I have made a few sales myself. However, it is a very crowded niche so in order to compete you may want to think outside of the box (tip for any newbie thinking about tackling this niche market).

I think the problem with all the overcrowded niches is not plagiarism, but duplicate content, everybody seems to be using the same PLR Package uploaded to their sites.

That's why original content is so well estimated in those kind of niches...

Its already been mentioned but the marketer I consider to be the heavy hitter for this niche provides an article a day to all of his affiliates.

That in and of itself will create a large amount of the same material floating around and being used to promote the niche because his products convert, he has tons of affiliates and he has been sending the articles out for months every single day.

    Respectfully,

It's fairly well known that Travis owns the product that seems to get promoted the most... was he the first to come up with a mjorly promoted product in this niche? I'm imagining someone else did first but didn't promote it half as well as he could.

There's a video of T promoting an unrelated niche in which he mentions he's got about 10,000 affiliates working the "get back ex" niche for him... that's a lot of peeps, and unfortunately a good chunk of them aren't going to do what they're supposed to: make the articles their own...!

Get your ex back must be a very profitable niche, I figure this because I spent money in it a few years back when I was going through a breakup

Anyway, yeah... people plagiarize stuff and recycle other people's content, it's just the name of the game; in no way am I supporting plagiarism, what I'm saying is that just about everything, in almost any niche, has already been done, but that doesn't mean you can't enter the same niche and create a product based on the same ideas you learned from someone else's product, right?
