I'm looking to get into email marketing and would like some guidance in terms of what service to go with? Maybe someone can give me an overview of it, as well?

I'm looking to capture emails for variety of niches, so I need a service which is capable of handling separate email banks and is easy to use. Suggestions?

    Hi,

I've been using Aweber for over 7 years.

They are the best that I've found.

    I hope this assists you.

Let me know if you have any
    additional questions.

    Best Wishes,

    James D'Alesandro

Definitely Aweber or Get Response. These are the 2 biggest and most reliable. You're email list is too valuable to try and take shortcuts or save a few dollars on. Stick with the big guys.

Go with Aweber. Their service is top notch and I have not had any problems ever since I've started using them.

Do not go for the free autoresponder services out there. They may be free, but the quality of the user interface is too complicated to be worth the hassle.

I have just recently started email marketing and I think it's really worth it as well, it seems to make much more sense to capture your potential customers' contact info. Aweber is very popular, but there are a lot of autoresponders out there, so you can always look around and find what's best for you, good luck

In my mind email marketing has nothing to do with SEO. I use SEO to send people to my squeeze/sales page then grab the email, they work together for sales purposes but that's it.

Can I transfer email addresses from another service to Aweber if I collect them for free elsewhere first? The thought of paying $20 a month when it's going to take me awhile to get a respectable number of recipients isn't ideal but I guess there really isn't another alternative or route to take.

ANYWAYS, thanks for all the feedback everyone, I've typically heard that Aweber is the way to go so now I'll have to roll up my sleeves and get into it finally.

Does it come with a course or tips on how to write good email copy when you first sign up for it btw? I assume they lay out the basics of how it's done but figured I'd ask first.
