Is the Google Sniper method still viable (May Day)? Is anyone here successful with the program?

I own Google Sniper and just finished skimming through the course. I want to start making sites, but was wondering if the new May Day algorithm that Google supposedly put into place has had any negative effect on Sniper sites?

Also, does the method work as well as claimed, for people that have used it?

Just looking for some honest feedback from people that have used it. No need to 'sell' me on it, because I already have it.

Thanks.

Mike

The Google Sniper method tries to rely solely on on-page optimization to rank well. Personally, I have never found this to work.

You do need at least some backlinks to rank well on the 1st page unless you have an extremely uncompetitive keyword phrase and even then you may not rank just based off on-page factors.

What I would recommend is follow the typical Google Sniper method but still go out and build backlinks. It will require work, but you will still rank rather easily if you pick the right keywords and optimize your page the right way along with following good SEO principals.

yeah it works but it hard, and you gotta know what your doing. But if you can find a obscure niche with not much competition then go for it. I know that pretty obvious but people are making good money doing it

Has anyone experienced any huge problems with the "May Day" Google algorithm change? I.e., seeing their sites getting sandboxed or losing quality rankings?

I've had a lot of success using the Sniper method. The key to success is finding the right niche/keyword/etc.

Some of my sites have been up for months and have not dropped a single result, so I wouldn't worry about the "May Day" algorithm change.

I highly recommend sticking with the Sniper method. With proper keyword research, you should be able to set up blogs that rank well and bring in a fair amount of income.

Don't be surprised if you have a few failures. I've got a number of Sniper sites up but only a few of them have done well. Just a few successful Sniper sites will bring in a surprisingly large income.

Think volume and don't expect to hit it out of the park on your first attempt.

I've a few sniper sites still ranking in top spots for competitive keywords in the money making niche, without further promotion or backlinking after setting them up...

...so I believe it still works as well as it ever did.

But of course, depending on your keywords and their competition, you might not be able to rank as high as you'd like to (without further promotion).

Does it work? Hell yes, it does.

Will it make you money? That depends on the keywords you select and whether you're able to pre-sell your visitors successfuly (if say you go down the affiliate marketing route).

I built 8 sites with "expert" help from a "full-time" Google Sniper - none of them rank on the first page of Google, all of them receive almost no traffic and have made no income at all.

Yes - the method has potential - but my experience with "expert" help which I expected to yield results returned nothing but wasted time and more money out of my pocket to pay the "expert".

All that said what I have learnt is when you search for possible terms use the EXACT match in Google keyword tool and NEVER broad or phrase. You will get much more realistic numbers that way.

I've never built a snipper site before, maybe i'll experiment with the idea.
