Social Media Campaign Discussion
I thought I'd start this thread as I couldn't find anything else like it on this forum. I'm going to be project managing some Social Media campaigns in the very near future and just wanted to get and discussion going.
As far as I care, social media is used to drive traffic to your website that is selling your product. This can be done through facebook, twitter and the rest. I understand that almost all these techniques for driving traffic are very open ended and seem to come from a couple fundamentals:
1. Don't try and hard sell. If you're looking like a salesperson then you're doing it wrong [insert appropriate image here].
2. Personal touch. If you want to create a following, be that fans on facebook or followers on twitter, you need to personalise your social media space and not stuffing it with branding.
That's what I'll start with. Let's get this discussion rolling!
