I have found a site selling turnkey websites on different niches providing different income streams (Google Adsense, Clickbank products, Kontera, banners and advertisement sales) for the buyer. Other features include a blog system, a built-in newsletter, news feeds, and integration of Google Analytics and sitemap.
are turnkey websites worth investing into?

I know a site needs traffic to be able to earn money. I know promoting a site demands hard, persistent work.
But even assuming that one puts in the necessary investment in money, time and effort to promote and market turnkey websites, do they have potential to generate revenue? Are they search engine-friendly?
I am asking these questions because I read somewhere that turnkey websites are not just worth investing money, time and hard work per se.
What are your thoughts?
