The benefit of LinkedIn ?

Hello, i would like to get enlightment regarding the benefit of using Linkedin profile ..

as far as i know:
- its social networking profile
- its one of the way to get one way backlink

but how about the business account as listed here...

i heard a lot of so called "guru" talking about LinkdIn.
just create my profile there... so whats next ? how i can benefit from LinkedIn

      I too have hear a lot of great things about Linkedin such as targeted traffic etc. I will have to check it out. That for starting the post.

    I use LinkedIn as an online resume of my skills and services. I also use it to find Joint Ventures. My Twitter Feed goes to LinkedIn and I pick up web traffic as well.     Of course the other great benefit (which some people just use alone) is their SEO in that by having a profile on there makes it easier for you to be found on Google.
