So I read about bum marketing quite a while ago and decided to try it out 1 year ago.

Sadly it wasn't to the profit machine I had hoped for and I quickly forgot about my sites...until yesterday...

After reading this I started thinking about my bum marketing sites and started doing a little digging to see why they sucked so bad.

And I found the answer:

I was not putting AdSense on the pages that people were visiting most often. I use wordpress for my sites and I forgot to put the AdSense on the 'archive' and '404 not found' pages.

When I looked at my analytics, the archives page were getting most of the traffic and I was losing money by not putting ads on them.

The best part is that I made this mistake for multiple sites for a whole year!!!

Don't be an idiot like me. If you do bum marketing make sure you have stat tracking and make sure you put ads on pages that people actually visit.
