Yes, this is real.

I want to confirm to you that hubpages
still rocks.

A few days ago i submitted an article on
hubpages dot com with the keywords of
the article title as the same as domain name.

Dog Training Skills To Consider
We specialize in dog training, train your dog, how to train a dog, dog obedience, dog school, dog commands, teaching a dog, sit-stay-fetch, dogs

Just this morning i checked on the
keyword Dog Training Skill and WOW!
my website came up as number 2 on
google and number 3 on yahoo

What does this mean? It means that
hubpages rock and you should do the
same.

    Hi Thaismr,

I didnt do anything special than to write the
article on hubpages and when i checked the
statistics i discovered that traffic came to my
    website through google.

Well, the only thing i can explain here is that
the artcile title is the domain name and that
    might be the reason.

Maybe the gurus here can explain to us better.

Yes, I agree with why you got to the first page: you have your keywords as your domain name, you got an authority back link from Hubpages, and that link came from a keyword-relevant page.

But I mean how did your hub get indexed?

Hubpages is a major site that gets indexed constantly. Put something up there and the search engines will find it.

Not sure about the question here, but Hubpages much like the popular and high PR article directories typically get indexed almost instantly, but certainly within a few days on average.

You can always use Ping.fm or just tell everyone on Twitter on your own about your new Hub...Digg it etc

Hubpages is a pretty cool site as long as you're willing to play by their rules. No dupe content means that you can't put anything on Hubpages that is somewhere else, so you have to have 100% original content if you want to use them.

This is where you have to decide if it's worth it to put your unique content on Hubpages or your own site, which can be a toss up really. Borrowing hubpages popularity can be a great way to get your site off the ground, but I don't know if it's the best long term strategy, since Google wants to see lots of great content on your own site to rank it well.

Ok, thanks, I usually use Squidoo and I always have to ping my own pages to get them indexed, it's not automatic.

Yep Hubpages ranks in the top 200 websites online and Google loves them. I believe they have even more pull than squidoo. Quick tip for Hubbers. If your author score (the score in your avatar) is less than 75, all of outgoing links on your hubs will be marked "no-follow". If you only have one hub then any author score lower than 40 will set off the "no-follow" notice.
