What has been your biggest success?

I was just wondering, with all the negativity that we get on forums, what people's best moments have been.

Heck, I've been guilty of it myself, focusing on negative stuff - when there are so many success stories out there from the really small to the really big.

I could tell you about the time I lost $100k, or got stung by a very dodgy magazine for non existent advertising. Or how a few days ago, I helped move 'Eddie' james furniture to his new office whilst hung over.

But none of that is success.

The thing is, I'm not sure if my greatest success was starting up for myself in the late 90s - after all that got me started, or if my greatest success should be the largest amount of money I have ever made?

Anywho... enough rambling - I think we all have success stories, some big some small, but none any less important.

Ya know?

Actually, that is a darn good answer,

    A darn good one.

You are TOTALLY right, about most of us running around with our heads in robot mode, not making progress.

  • I think success, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. Everyone has different interpretations of success. I personally think that every time I complete a new project about a topic totally new to me, and the client is happy, that is success to a lesser degree. When I was a current events reporter, having the TOP story, was success. But in essence, being successful is doing something you absolutely love and enjoy and getting paid for it.

I love how it varies for each of us, and I also think that when we look back, what we thought was a success or failure, was actually something different.

I thought selling my first £500 product four or five years ago, was a big success. Now, I look back and see the real success was me starting the business. I didn't see it at the time though...
