Mystery... blog or site with articles?

One of the mysteries I've always had... blog OR site with articles?

I kind of don't want to be obligated to do a new post every couple of days. I think I it would better do if I publish most of the articles using other methods.

Maybe I should do couple of them on blog and put all the rest to other places?

I am not sure what 'kind' of articles to put on blog and what on article sites etc. More general ones on the blog and more specific in article directories, or the other way around?

Any suggestions?

    Blog or traditional website, doesn't matter. Do whatever you feel confortable with.
    If you plan to regulary add new content, what is always a good idea, a blog is a pretty fast and easy solution.
    About which articles put in your site, all of them.
    You can publish your articles first in your site and then submit them to article directories (if this is what you are asking). Just make sure they are first published (and indexed) in your site.

    Maybe it's just my perception, but seems with blog you should write every couple of days. And article site is static until you decide to add content. Am I wrong?

      There are no internet police that will make you blog on any schedule or make sure you don't post articles too often.

      The site types you're talking about are virtually identical from the way the search engines see them.

      However, with the recent shifts in Google, the fact is they are starting to favor high quality, high frequency sites. So whichever you choose, post good stuff and post frequently.

    You can write the articles in one batch and then set up the blog so that it publishes one a day. That way it will seem as if you are regularly posting.
