If you cannnot find a company. It may be best to post ads on freelancers sites. Such as freelancer.com. There are many companies out there who would be able to complete your needs and for less than the bigger outsourcing companies.

Dealing with trust issues takes a leap of faith...

Outsource things that will not have a big impact on your business at first... things that you can recover from quickly (or simply throw out) if they do not work good.

And the trust issue is easy to understand...

Outsourcing is just as hard as hiring an employee; maybe harder because at least with an employee working at your facility, you can have lots of face time and it is easier to work with an employee and mold that person into being who you need for that position...

Outsourcing or employees - be ready to let them go if they do not perform. It is very natural to have to go through many people to find the one(s) that you want to keep working with. So be prepared for disappointment in your outsourcing efforts - just as you would be in direct hiring efforts - and nurture those who show promise.

I also recommend freelancer.com you can get really quality work done for a very low price....but always make sure that the person you hire provides references before...

I also prefer freelancer.com. But select a person who has good reviews. Some newbies will do bad things for cheap rate.

Hi....

Have you checked out the Warriors For Hire section here on WF? It is fillled with Warriors offering all kinds of outsourcing services (content creation, website design, Wordpress installation, graphic design, etc).

Most of the prices are fair and you have the fact that Warriors have a reputation to maintain here. If someone is known to provide poor service, buyers have no problems expressing that. And vice versa, it's very reassuring to read positive feedback being left for services by experienced and well-respected members of this forum.

What do you call "basis stuff"? Is it writing? Promotion of your site? Both? Something entirely different? Before you know exactly what you want to outsource, you can't do research on where you want to send your business too. You can start at the Warriors for hire subforum, which has a lot of great people you can outsource too, but the same principle applies. If you don't know what you want to outsource, you can't start looking for someone to outsource too.

Remember, its not just the freelancing site that matters, its WHO you select from that site....I look for many satisfied customers, especially RECENT ones. ...and I also happen to like Warriors for Hire as well.

Outsourcing is always a risky step to take. You are not sure of what your going to get. Didn't Forest Gump say something like that. Oh well, you have to use the same principle when deciding who your going to choose.

Yes there are many honest freelancers out there who are willing to give you their best. But, is their best good enough?

There is a lot too look into when you start outsourcing. It all really depends on what you are looking to outsource. There are many sources on the net. Remember that you get what you pay for.

To the OP - Trust issues are something you need to get over. I outsource using the methods taught at ReplaceMyself.

Personally, I have had to experiment with a couple of services here and there till I could decide exactly what to outsource where. Yes, it involves a bit of wasted money initially, but I viewed that as my investment to my business and I have got it more than paid off now that I know my outsourcers for many (not all yet) of the services that I require.

I say that outsourcing is risky because you take the control of quality out of your hands. I am not familiar with ReplaceMyself. But, I will take a look at it. I have tried freelancer and so far I have not been very lucky with that. Maybe because I enjoy writing so I write myself. Maybe that is it. Who knows. But, when I see someone writing from other countries I get disappointed that they actually think that they are delivering high quality when most of their writing is broken English. The same way they talk. Just my opinion.

I've just outsourced for the first time recently on odesk. The job is still ongoing. It's something that is very easy to do, but it's so menial I can't stand spending that time doing it.

You need to be very specific with your instructions, check their feedback score, and interview them.

Just look at feed back. I've also used the "warriors for hire" here with mixed reviews.

There are a lot of sites you can outsource from. You might want to try Guru.com, oDesk.com and Elance.com. It may take a while for you to find the right provider but you'll get there. Definitely there is someone out there.
Everything is a risk but if you don't try, you'll never really know how it turns up. Just be clear with what you want and definitely find someone who you could communicate with easily.

Outsourcing absolutely takes any business to the next level! It's all about "highest and best use" of your time.

I have had excellent experience getting VA's (Virtual Assistants) on Elance.

It's fast, affordable (you really can't afford not to hire at least one) and it keeps the pipeline full every day!

I have found it a great way to keep my business on task because I have to hustle to keep up. lol

CALL them .. do not do business with
anyone you cannot call.

I follow this rule as an absolute now.

Even if they are overseas, you can still
insist that you must be able to skype them.

I was burned too many times to ever do
business with someone I cannot call.

Even with "brand name" companies!

Check out this 1shoppingcart review and
you'll see that it all sounds good ...until
you actually try to call them for support &
discover it's going to cost you $34 to
speak with a low level support person.

AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH -

Bottom line - no phone, no business from me.

Make exceptions to this policy at your own
peril!
