There is at least one free software maker on the market -
though what you get is something with no support or
    ongoing development.

These sorts of things generally create pretty simple
things. Some folks have used them to make "copywriting
software" that asks you a bunch of questions and then
    structures a salesletter for you.

Warrior Thomas Belknap had a recent WSO for a software
design program that looks pretty awesome. He's coming
out with the new version this week and it's a big leap from
the first one - which I bought with updates but did not find
very useful for what I wanted to do.

It's more than $10. You get what you pay for.

There are several such programs out there, but they all pretty much do very little. Usually you can either create a 'software' that is a viewer of a web page (in which case you can change the content pretty much whenever you like), or you can create a small web-site that is completely contained in the 'software'

I've found very little use for these programs personally.

Thomas Belknap is about to release some serious software creation software (redundant, eh) called Tiger Software Builder. The new release is going to kick some butt judging by his demos.

      Thanks guys for the plug.

I would have to agree that most of the "Software Makers" are just html wrapped up into a window program. It isn't very useful. I can see why they did it after I worked on this project. lol It is a lot easier to do it their way.

Mine is an actual windows program. The only html in it is if you want to display you own website. I am loving this thing. I can do a software program in under 30 minutes. It would normally take me 2 to 3 weeks to finish everything like design, programming, installation setup and testing.

I did do a couple of demos for my current customers. BTW, I do have the best customers in the world. They have been very patient with me and I hope I overdelivered for them.

      Part 1
      Created with Camtasia Studio 5

      Part 2
      Created with Camtasia Studio 5

Beta will begin soon. I am finishing up the documentation and want to do some more videos.

      Thanks ,

      Thomas

    I'm inclined to agree.

I have tried out several of these programs over the years and they only create a limited range of software applications. Further, when you test those applications on other pcs/platforms, some will function others will not. The ones that I tried were not robust enough to use to produce commercial products - unless one wanted a tarnished reputation!

Please be aware that I have not tried out Thomas Belknap's products mentioned earlier in the thread, so this post does not reflect on his software. BTW I'm about to view the videos that he's just posted.

    Regards,
    Jeff.
