I would submit a unique article related to the issue you are trying to solve (the purpose for the products you are affiliated with) to ezine.

Use Craigslist.org to post a classified related to your affiliate products..

Go to a forum related to your affiliate products and promote there.

you can also check yahoo answers for questions being asked that your affiliate product solves.. answer and link your website..

  here's a little system that may actually work..
  
  1.) get a gmail account
  2.) set it on autoreply.. the mode where it automatically sends a reply like you're on vacation..
  3.) write a message that will inspire prospective leads to click on your link inside your email..
  4.) go to craigslist.org and make an account with that gmail account
  5.) post a relevant post within craigslist..
  for example:
  in the FREE section.. post an ad that says
  FREE BOOK ON HOW TO SOLVE xxxxxxxxxxxxx
  just reply on the link above...

Study driving traffic by going to Google and typing
in "driving traffic". You will see plenty of information.

Study, pick one stratedgy and market it until you
know it inside and out.

Don't give up. Plug away everyday, it will happen
for you.

Here are some ideas for driving traffic

here are my traffic methods

1. SEO Get your site ranked for the keywords you are going after or the pages of your site.

2. Ezine.com and Articlebase.com - write articles related to your niche

3. Press release sites submit a press release to these sites

prwindow.com PR3

NEWSRELEASER.COM PR4
i-newswire.com PR3

4. SocialBookmark to 40 or 50 different bookmarking sites right after you make a new post

5. I use Pingler.com to ping all of these sites to let them know i have new content

6. Use docsharing sites to spread the word about your article.

7. Make a Twitter account related to your niche and post an article about it.
Just don't spam. Only do this once every 2 or 3 days. Provide content that they would like to read not just an affiliate offer.

8. You can also use usfreeads to drive traffic.

One gem that I use... that most people don't, to drive traffic is:

Hi

I find article marketing is a real effective way of driving targeted traffic. Also yahoo answers, squiddo lens and hupages and possibly a video series on you tube. All linked back to your site.

I'm new here to but I don't like posting on forums and just like wait for somebody to answer it which will be along time but yeah anyways yeah that's how you get traffic as Shannon said but then again what if people don't by the product that's what stress me out. I'm going to get a domain and writing articles can take a long time plus I'm still in high school busy as hell... Any suggestions? The thing I don't get is like I heard that even if somebody don't buy the product but click on the affiliate link and sign up then I would still get the commission or if that person just went straight to the bottom of the page and click purchase something like that.

With ClickBank they must buy the product in order for you to make a sale.

Even if they do sign up, the customer still would have to buy the product for you to make money.

DeeDee - I'm new(ish) to this forum myself and I am constantly blown away by the fantastic advice and tips people freely share.

Here's a tip I'd want to pass on - open up a blank word or text document and when you see a post with really great tips (especially if they are step by step like Shannon's) copy that bad boy and paste it into your document.

It was driving me nuts when I read something really good and then a day or two later couldn't find that post (though once you are logged in there is a good search feature at the top).

My only real "complaint" about this forum - there's so much good stuff I can't help but want to keep reading rather than DOING. I have to force myself to close out the browser and get stuff done.

Oh - you mentioned that you had trouble with Craigslist - even though they are the biggest they are NOT the only game in town. Try searching for other free classified sites that aren't so strict. There are plenty of them out there.

@IAMNOTTHEPRINCE - there is a way to get paid when someone clicks on stuff but they don't buy - it's called CPA marketing and it means cost per action. The action your visitor has to do can be as small as putting in their zip code (though with these you may make only a buck or so - but still if enough people do it - it really adds up).

There is a LOT of great info about CPA marketing on this forum. If you are already promoting a click bank product you may want to put up a CPA offer as well because some people are still looking for info and don't want to buy but it's better to get a few bucks off them if they don't buy your clickbank product but do fill out a cpa offer. (Some of them pay VERY high - more than what you might get from clickbank, depending on the offer - just for a page's worth of info. All depends on the niche of course and how much the visitor has to do.)

  People have mentioned methods of driving traffic already, so I'm going to switch gears...
  
  Before you start driving traffic, you have to have something worthwhile to drive that traffic to. Make sense?
  
  If your site is mostly just banners, I have bad news. Banner farms stopped working about 15 years ago. You need content.
  
  It can be articles, videos, audios, blog posts, whatever. As long as it's useful to your visitors, it will keep them around long enough to see your offers. If you can write any kind of interesting, helpful article, a text link to your offer will likely convert better than just a banner.
  
  I know CJ vendors provide tons of banners. Mostly because that's what affiliates ask for. Big sites like major newspapers, TV networks, and such that generate millions of page views can make money on the low percentage of people who click on typical banners.

Hope you can write articles. Then you can provide a service. If you have a web site, make some backlinks in every day and track it. You must watch SERP to get targetted visitors.
