Best Site(s) to Submit Free Ebooks?

I think this is something a lot of Warriors can benefit from (in addition to myself!)

Has anyone here marketed (affiliate marketing or your own product) through free ebook distribution?

If so, where's the best places to submit free ebooks to get the most exposure?

I ran across Free-ebooks.net and it promises 4,000,000+ distribution for $20. Have you tried this or any others?

    Perhaps a well written press release?
    I think if it's done correctly, that would be your best bet. Especially depending on the niche. With a popular niche outside of IM, you could get a lot of offline publicity.

      Thanks Josh. I do write press releases and I send the traffic directly to an offer. I hate "free"... I'm just looking for a place where you can either pay or freely upload an ebook that will go out to xxxx number of sites (like submitting a PAD file)

      I LOVE the bootleg idea. However, if they're stealing the ebook how likely are they to pay for the next offer lol?

      Scribd looks interesting, I'll add that to my list. I know I wouldn't get 4,000,000 views lol, but I was wondering if anyone had tried that service.

    Warez sites, torrents and p2p networks. How's that for something different?

    You can get tons of traffic by "bootlegging" your own stuff. To make it exciting for them put a price tag on it when you post (ex. retails for $79).

        It varies depending on the niche. A few of the good one's are making money, self defense, video game hacks, how to attract women, and basically everything they see value.

        It's more of a traffic builder than anything. You can get some to convert into paying customers but the majority of them won't buy anything. If you have several ways of monetizing your site (free CPA offers, Adsense, etc...), you are more likely to make money off of them as opposed to just selling them an ebook.

        Since you're already familiar with PAD files, just convert your ebook into an exe ebook and submit it to the software sites.

        You can convert them into paying customers but this kind of traffic doesn't have a great conversion rate for ebooks and scripts. Your big success will be in getting them to sign up for free offers and clicking ads.

        The funny thing is when you do convert one into a paying customer and they share it with everyone else.

    If I were to believe the ad, I would instantly pay for that. This huge numbers they mention on the $19.97 page is not the same as the one from the "Advertise today" page, where they say "Can you get excited about grabbing even a slight percentage of millions of unique visitors each and every month from over 372,546 unique visitors?"
    Am I missing something here?

    Even if the figures were the same, which they are not, do you honestly believe that all 4,000,000 visitors will look to YOUR eBook (or mine, for that matter)?
