Question for those who have studied a good number of autoresponders

by IM Ace 6 replies
Hello!

I am looking for an autoresponder that allows the owner to decide if people can join a particular list more than once (i.e they will get the same set of messages everytime they join the list), and then also have the ability to deduplicate the list members at his/her will.

I know Autoresponse Plus has this feature...but I need to know if there are more.
Aweber does not have this facility.

Any experts?

Just use Aweber. Even if they don't have that feature, it makes no sense to have the same person on the same list. You can have the same person to a different set of lists, but not on the same list.

      Gary,

I have asked this because I need this feature. It may not make sense to anybody who does not have the background reasons why this may be required.

      Thanks for your response, though.

AWeber does allow you to reset a person's position in the autoresponder. So while AWeber's system wouldn't do this automatically, you could go into the system and set someone's "last received" message to 0... which would start the sequence over. I'm not sure if there's any way you could automate that.

Is that the kind of functionality you want, though? Someone's joined your list, and gotten the followups... but now they want to get them again?

      Thanks for your response.

I need a system wherein even in case of someone subscribing to the same list again, the autoresponse processes the registration as if it was done for the first time - but only for that particular list. It means I should have that option, whether to set the list form in that fashion - to accept repeated subscriptions.

I should also, then be able to de-duplicate the list.

The Aweber feature you describe does not suit this functionality.

    I think getresponse allows that.

You may want to check out www.imnicamail.com. Great autoresponder, though I'm not sure if they have that feature.
