I think Informative, Interesting and Accurate are 3 key factors.

Proper location has me stumped. Can you explain that?

I certainly agree with accurate. Without accuracy it is useless.

    1. Trade secrets which portray the writer or client as an expert.

Usually these are "throwaways," but minor secrets can still be powerful. What can't happen is that the reader comes away thinking the content is generic drivel and the writer company behind it a commodity to be had at lowest price.

These details are what tell the reader in no uncertain terms you are credible, and every field has them -- from a Waffle House cook to a photographer.

    2. War stories. These are real scenarios with real challenges and real outcomes.

The story format is powerful. Few know how to use stories the right way.

    3. A thorough understanding of a target reader / customer. Most content is written for anybody and everybody. You get no chance of a wow effect when the reader hasn't a clear feeling you're writing to them.

I like the idea of the story. My personal story on Breast Cancer at 32 have always been good sellers. People have a tendency to grab those quick, which is why I wrote a new one for my free PLR.

I never thought about why they did before, but that potato chip post makes sense
