That its effortless and pain free.

It bugs me a little that the term "no cost" is used for bum methods... when a lot of time is needed to ensure that your traffic will be targeted correctly

"No cost" means no money needed. Yes time is a cost if you want to be technical but the general public obviously associate cost with spending money so I don't see how that can bug you:p

Time is money - forget that and you won't have a lot of either!!

E.g. free traffic method - takes up your entire day, or same results by posting a $20 WSO - which would you choose?

The free one of course ... cus it's free! Free I tell ya!

I think one of the things that bugs me most, in addition to those already mentioned, is when a sales page promises traffic with a specific ROI... Come on!!! Let's be realistic here people, we all know that there is NO way anyone can promise a specific number of conversions because the success of an advertising campaign depends on a NUMBER of DIFFERENT factors. So traffic a lone will not convert into sales, the product must be good, the Ad copy convincing and of course, PRICE. YOU can have the BEST traffic in the world, but if the other factors aren't right, you are just not going to have conversions.

I agree ...too many products making specific promises, I just got an email today asking me when they would get results if they bought my product - obviously there are a lot of factors involved and it's different for everyone

I see a lot of products promising a 'flood' of free traffic while it may be true, in most cases several factors have to be right such as having a responsive email list

Jason how you been man? ...hit me up some time

I despise when they say "at the push of a button". It bothers me especially when it is aimed at the newbie that will fall for it. If there was a majic bullet, the "guru" selling it surely would not give it away for $37. I like the sites that tell you upfront that it will take time which is a cost in itself.

The worst thing I see on traffic salespages, are the ones that promises thousands of "Hits". I have never heard of anyone getting a sale from a "hit"!

That tells me one of 2 things: (Sometimes both)
    1. They have no clue whatsoever about what they're working with.
    2. They are trying to scam newbies.

Oh, and btw, I purchased a WSO a long time ago, and I managed to get several thousands of visitors in very few days, so it IS possible. It was crap traffic though =P But I made $10-20/day from them with a content unlocker, so it was still a great course

I am a little tired of people turning up in forum and saying "How do I do SEO?", then the next week they have their own product stating "How to get 2,000 visitors per day for free" or something similar, which is basically a rewording of ideas given to them in the forum replies.

I have read a few of the SEO WSO's that sounded like the person writing them has never had a successful ranking and is just repeating what they heard. Not good for newbies as second or third hand information often gets very distorted.

My biggest gripe is the data that is used to show how much sales you can get from keyword traffic. It usually is so far off what they will really be earning from that keyword it gives too much false hope. Newbies never seem to realise just how many keywords you really need to rank for to earn a decent income purely from SEO.

Just yesterday someone showed me a keyword and asked me if they would make $100/day from a #1 ranking on it with adsense. When I told them it would more likely be $1/day they said that are giving up on SEO.

It made me laugh as I see it as an easy $365/year for not much work, but due to the way people are selling SEO as a concept, as soon as someone actually starts getting their own data they realise that it is a lot more work than they were led to believe and usually give up.

In my opinion, if you are going to be serious about making a decent income in SEO you have to spend out on software & content. Free methods do work but are just not practical when doing volume SEO, although all the salespages make it sound like it costs nothing to do SEO.

If I made a ebook of my method, the running costs of content & software is at least $1,000/mo. I wonder how many people would buy a $27 ebook if you told them it will cost the $1,000/mo to actually use the system lol.

SEO companies that charge a fortune and only do minimal work.

Anybody who really does the work knows it is just not about keywords and it is doing lots of little things than big expensive changes that generate lost of traffic.

      Great tips!
Let's just say he's launching a traffic product... With "the common warrior" as his target market... Then he will know what to avoid on the salespage

Also selling on emotions is extremely responsive
