Anyone create sales pages? ~content

I'm skimming the warriors for hire but all I find is people who write articles.

I'm looking next to the "Content" threads, is that right?

What exactly is it called? A copywriter?

Sorry never hired anyone before

  • You are not looking for someone to do content.

You are looking for a copywriter, and someone who specializes in doing sales pages.

Expect the rates to jump considerably higher than what you might pay for a few articles.

    Good luck.

  • Avenuegirl is right.

Sales pages really have two components and each component usually is done by two different people (if you hire them). A copywriter writes sales copy. He or she gives you the words, the text for your product.

A good copywriter will need to see your product. They will want to talk to you and ask questions such as...

1.) Who is your target market?

2.) What keywords do you want to target on your sales page

3.) What are the key benefits you see your product as having? The more you provide the better!

4.) What are your marketing plans?

    5.) Do you have testimonials?

6.) Do you have screen shots of proof of earnings you want to include (if it's an IM related product) or Google shots if it's an SEO type product... stuff like that.

7.) Do you have "must use" graphics you want them to write around?

8.) What are your credentials or experiences that make you qualified to write the book or develop the product.

Those are some basics. A lot of copywriters will have questionnaires they send to prospective clients with many more questions. They are not trying to be a pain in the ass--the more info you give them, the better job they will do for you.

The other part of the equation is your site design. If it's a one-page sales page you need you can get a mini-site designer here on the WF to create a good one for under $200. You probably need a header, a footer, border images, a product image, maybe an "order here" button, perhaps a testimonial box or Johnson-type boxes to break up your body copy, and perhaps some sub-headline graphics to throw into your copy here and there.

Your mini-site designer should be willing to make a few changes if required once you get your package.

If you have an HTML editor like Dreamweaver or any one of the free ones, you can dump your text copy into your mini-site and format it the way you want it to look. You can hire Warriors here to do that for you as well.

Just some ideas. Hope some are useful. Good Luck!

    • not necessarily 200$, that kind of money would be for unique design + coding ( and if you're interested then see my portfolio and contact me ), there's always cheaper solution - a premade template which mostly are a lot cheaper and does the job ( well, having a unique design gives better results, but everyone needs to start from something right? ) , for example a decent looking sales pages can be bought for 50$, see them here: ProLandingPages.net - Professional templates for Your landing pages
  • Thanks Mike!
  • I suggest prepare a lot of money for that.
  • What you need is a copywriter not a content writer (there are others who have said that already). You should also be prepared to pay quite a bit more for a good sales page than you would pay for a few articles but in the end the expense will be worth it--especially since if you go with someone who doesn't know what they are doing you could end up spending a bunch of extra money hiring someone to re-do what you've already purchased.

At the same time there are some Copywriting Warriors here (like me! hi!) who like to work with people who are new in the business and whose budgets might not be as expansive they'd like. Do some digging and you'll find the person you need. Or, you know, you could just hire me
