How many hours do you spend evaluating micro niches

I am interested to know how long people take to come up with a good micro niche idea that you've evaluated to be worth a shot?

Also how do you come up with the content for this micro niche?

It is very easy to become overwhelmed with the amount of things to do & whether you are doing any of them right!

A few minutes, you can do this with the right tool.

I outsource articles to peeps from the Warriors for hire section.

I've come across ebooks that say look for keywords that consist of 2 or more words, have adwords value over $1, less than 100,000 google results, then needing at least (whatever!) many searches a day.

Also I know there are packages such as Micro Niche Finder & Keyword Elite etc.

Perhaps I'm being a bit pessimistic & disheartened

Your keyword research or finding proftable micro niches will really depends on your link building skills or ability. If you already mastered the right and effective way of link building then I guess even if google results is 1 million or more then I'm sure you can outrank some of them.

One of the biggest point of making micro niche sites is to build a lot of them. If you spend too much time researching then you're cutting into the actual site building/promoting.

That's not to say you shouldn't research, but there's no need to go completely overboard.

how do you build the content them & how do you make the money

    There's a few different ways.

You can write your own content, or you can outsource it to someone else. Good American writers will write an article for you from anywhere from $5-$15 for a QUALITY article. You have to search around for this.

As far as making money goes, there's about a million ways you can monetize a site. CPA, affiliate offers from CB or Amazon, AdSense, etc....

You have to pick a model and go with it. I learned this the hard way a few months back and am just starting to have some success.

    Good luck,

Micro Niches Site is good for those who can work consistently 5 hours daily. You must also be a WordPress savy. Contents are generally fetch through other blogs. You just have to change them make it unique up to 30% only.

So is it a case of try & try & try until you build a system/plan you can follow then rinse & repeat (as they say)

        I'd say that's not a half-bad plan at all.

        Good luck,

Focus your time (couple hours) to grab something different.

    Read on:

    Niche market A.
    20 searches per day.
IF you can place 2 Sites in top 5, you'll get 10-12 visitors of that daily traffic.
Just a couple Adwords ads for that particular search query.

All in all, everybody gets out of this niche, right?

    BUT...

Every sale in Niche market A equals $230.

With a tested system you can make a couple sales per month this a non competitive niche market.

Just think outside of the box. There is life after Adwords, Adsense, Amazon, etc.

Depends on the project I guess.

Some ebooks I was writing for a very specific group of people, and others I was trying a more general approach. I've never had to do research for more then 45mins personally.

Im with fernando. But at first, until you have a system that you have tested and is working for you, I would stick to less then 5 sites, in one niche or scattered and test with them. If you are just pumping out sites without any solid knowledge on if they will start bringing you in money then you could be wasting time and money. Once you have a money making system down, thats when you start pumping out sites, ones that you know will make you money because you have already figured out the plan. If you have a keyword tool it will sure make the research go a lot faster, and I am not just saying that because I have on in my sig, it really cuts the time in less than half. Do your research and see which one would be best for you.
        Hope this helps

Just a side note: If you ever plan to create your own products, now is the time to begin and here's why. Once you understand how not to think like someone new it is difficult to go back because your experience changes you. So jot down what you are thinking now and save it. That sounds like a good idea. I guess it's a way to remember what it was like to be a newbie, and the questions/problems you had then, so you can address those things when you create a product - like a how-to eBook or course, etc.

Peeps 66 I feel I am in the same boat as you, I keep researching and researching. I personally use Market Samuri, I just purchased this a couple of days ago it is an excellent tool.

I guess my theory is to research enough until you find a slam dunk worth putting your efforts, time and money into. I am getting closer by the day. I don't think it makes good sense to create a site based on little research and feel discouraged when it fails but then again I am not making money online either.

For those who do research less than an hour, how is the income looking?

It just depends for me. Sometimes I think of something good when i'm not even trying to and sometimes I sit around for hours trying to come up with something. Usually it depends on how lazy I feel that day and whether or not I feel like doing research on it lol

How can you write an ebook with only 45mins research?
That is merely how long it usually takes for the keyword part of the research. Then again I've done research for ebooks in little under 3 hours before. It usually depends on the size of the ebook itself.

Whoever you ask you will always get different responses, you need to find what works best for you and stick with it.

I use Market Samurai and love it, it certainly makes keyword research a lot easier than doing it manually. I still don't think I've ever found good keywords in just 5 minutes though, I like to be pretty thorough and often good keywords just have too much competition and you need to just keep on looking until you find one that's just right.
