Question for those using hostgator

I use xsite pro and hostgator. When I upload a site to hostgator do I need to do anything to have google start crawling the site? Do I need to submit the site somehow or anything else? I've always used SBI before and they do all the submitting and everything for you. Now, kind of lost.

    You will need to fill out the onsite SEO and then Ping .

    Also recommend getting your link in the places spiders love to hang out . Bookmarking sites , article directories , web 2.0's, forums . To name a few

        It is not done on HG. It is done on your site builder ( at least the on page ) Each version is different but find a place that you can add a title , description, and keywords . Also be sure to have your keywords in the page content .

        The pinging ... lets see.. this is an easy one to use for beginners
