Ezine ads gone or crashed?

Hi,
I just paid for ads at this place yesterday, Affordable Ezine Advertising Groups, and today they're gone and nothing I can do online will bring them back.
Can anyone verify if the site is simply crashed, or are they in the carribean partying it up with my $45?
emails to their site keep bouncing back.
thanks br88

Loads for me but only the header, if in doubt just wait a day or so. My guess would be that they have technical problems at the moment.

      I ditto that.

I had an issue in May of 2009 where all of my sites were gone for 16 days, because my web hosting company changed my DNS Server after my Domain Registrar was taken over by ICANN. Because the registrar was in holding with ICANN, I was unable to update my DNS records, so my sites just disappeared from the web, until ICANN was able to migrate my registration to a new registrar.

Before that happened, I owned no gray hair. Afterward, I owned a chunk of gray hairs.

That is one of the "magic" sites that run on autopilot. The problem is that not all sites can be ran on autopilot and that type of site certainly cannot be ran on autopilot.

=> if you make a mistake in your ad (I know for sure that it happens many times - I'm in this business on the other part of the fence => misspelled words or even links), the site itself won't correct your ad ("Completely Automated Ad Submision")

=> The site itself doesn't know to answer customers' emails  Some of my customers (and friends in the same time ) told me that when they asked a question, they never get a reply from the Indian guy who is the owner of that site. Once I tried to contact him too but in vain. I cannot prove it though however ...

=> The site itself doesn't know to talk to publishers, etc., and what is the most important thing in that kind of business ... the site itself doesn't know when a publisher dies or simply when a publisher decides to stop publishing her or his ezine. The site will keep the ezine listed and that is cheating customers. On that site there are many ezines not published anymore since years Here is the first part of an article I wrote in 2008 and that contains proofs (screen captures) for my statement: Ezine Advertising Blog Archive Ezine Ad Co-ops - Don't throw away your money Most of my findings from 2008 are still valid today, in 2010.

My piece of advice is this: don't wait any longer, ask the payment processor for a refund. Reason: even if finally someone will answer your email, the publishers who died or the publishers who don't publish their ezines anymore will NOT publish the ad you paid for.

P.S. Being in the same business, someone may think that I'm trying to destroy that business and steal customers. Nope ... frankly I don't need to do that, the owner of that site takes care of it Anyway, you don't have to believe any single word that I wrote in this post ... just check yourself - this is always the best way.
