Looking for a new domain registrar

I've used Enom for a while (actually use them through Parallels, a reseller) and their prices are OK, but now with the Verisign price increases, I'm starting to look around again. I am pleased with the Enom interface and support, but now it's $9.25 per year for a .com domain. Can anyone recommend a cheaper registrar with decent support/interface, that doesn't require an up front deposit?

Verisign increase is universal on all TLD's and therefor the registrars will pass down to the customers

You mentioned ENOM, are you using a specific script to order the domains from ENOM like WHMCS or WHMAutoPilot

Yes, I'm using WHMCS actually. I know they support quite a few registrars through their API.

There is a good start ... Check the other registrar's prices and see whats out there ...

However as you mentioned you will need to deposit with them ... Hostgator and other hosting providers have agreements with ENOM and WHMCS and others to provider their huge client bases with these products at a really good rate.

My suggestion is that if you are selling the domains throught the WHMCS script to the end user the ENOM option you have might be the best. If the domain names are your own then you might try Godaddy or NameCheap - i know godaddy always sends over vouchers to my inbox

At 1and1, .com, .net, and .org domains are just $7.99 inclusive of ICANN fee for the first year for new registrations and transfers, and private registration is included for free.

I've read some nightmare stories about 1&1 and domain registration problems.
