Who provides your high speed internet and how much is it?

I've used Comcast for several years. Their service has been ok but the speed is up and down. It costs about $75/month and I was thinking about looking into lower cost alternatives.

I know I could get better deal if I bundled with a company to provide phone, internet, tv etc but I don't like to put all my eggs in one basket.

So who provides your high speed internet and what to you pay?

Thanks, Ron

Up to 20mb/s but get around 8mb/s and it's free with a $45 Sky TV and phoneline package.

Comcast, not bundled, $19 a month. This is a "special offer" though, so every few months my husband has to call and beat them up until they give us another "special deal."

I'm currently paying Comcast about $29.95/month for their highest speed service. Comcast almost always has these "special offers" but they don't publicize them. I found out about them from a Comcast employee who told me all I have to do is call and they'll tell me which offers are available. The offers usually let you pay the lower price for about 6 months. And when that's up, you just tell Comcast you'd like to know about more "special offers". It's really stupid, but I guess if these discounts were advertised then everyone would use them.

That's exactly what my husband does. And not just with Comcast. He's also convinced the trash company, the car insurance people, and the mortgage company to lower their rates. It just takes persistence.

MidContinent Communications. I get 20/mbs download and 2/mbs upload for $45 a month. I wish the upload speed was faster but that would cost about $100 a month and I think that is too much.

Are you a Dave Ramsey students by any chance?

I got Comcast and Dish Network to cut may monthy amount in half for the last year but it's running out. I guess I'll try to hit them up again for a better deal or look for other companies that will give me a better deal.

I use Clear which is formally Clearwire. Not bad service. Runs about $42.00 per month and it's just as fast if not faster than Comcast. I hate Comcast.
