Open and Click Rate For Emails

Sorry if this has been asked before, tried to do a search but my PC is being very uncooperative today.

Anyway, I just wondered if anyone knew what the average open and click rate is when sending out an email broadcast.

Sent out an email broadcast yesterday to 241 of my subscribers in a sleep disorder niche and so far only received 12 clicks.

    I figure it would depend on how your relationship is with your list. If you have build a strong and trustworthy relationship then I think your open and click through rate will be higher then if you never gave them anything valuable and never spend time creating a good reputation with your list.

      Hmmm, good point.

      To be honest, I have rather neglected that particular niche and list for a while........just not enough hours in the day :-)

    Start building up your trust rate with them again, you might see an increase.

    You need to keep in touch with your lists and then you will see positive reults.

    Epicurus -

    I have gotten stats all over the board, but slowly I have seen them improve the more I communicate with my list and build a relationship with them.

    On average, I would say my open rate is right around 10% and my click rate is about 8%.

    I have definitely noticed that giving a command in the subject line gets me better results - something like "open this now".
