Question About Subdomains and Getting Indexed on Google

Hello:

I have a question about getting one's site indexed.

Let's say that you have a domain that you put the Google sitemap on and go through with the various preliminary things to get the site indexed. And it does, you see pages when yo type site: yoursite.com in google.

So...yoursite.com is now indexed.

Then, you decided to run a script on a sub-domain, let's say:

newstuff.yoursite.com

Should you expect the pages on the subdomain to be treated by google as seperate or should you expect that it will be indexed when the spider comes back?

In other words, do you have to go through the sitemap process again?

    I am not 100% on this. But I am pretty sure that google will pick it up on its next crawl.

    Another thing that would help is to submit your new .html link to at lease one High ranking social site or Digg or something like that.

    some one else may chime in with some better info. But from my own experience it will get picked up

    You should always be updating your site map

    I'm pretty sure your subdomains are viewed as separate entities and you need to do a site map for each subdomain.

    In my google account I list my sub domains and go through the process just like a regular domain.
