New Domain has 14,500,000 results

Just messing around with domains on go daddy to see availability of certain domains...Then i thought of a certain domain and i googled it only to find it come up with over 14,000,000 results..

My point here is ,What exactly do the number of results have to do with the domain and popularity of it..

thanks for helping me with a stoopid question...

    What do you mean exactly?

Did you find a domain that was available and when you type that specific domain into google you're getting 14MM results for it?

Or, did you find a keyword domain like coolkeyword.com and when you look in google for 'cool keyword' (without quotes) you come up with 14MM results?

the 14.5m is just a meaningless number. All those Google search results are.

You'll find there are usually around 500-600 real results and then suddenly you get to the end and a message saying something like the other results have been omitted as they are similar to the previous 500. Most are just duplicates, more pages on the same site etc.

It amazes me that people still quote those numbers as real.

Try it sometime and you'll see how many results there really are!

Back to the OP - did you find an expired domain?

The results you see at the top of each G search is how many times the keyword(s) are being used by each websites indexed by G.

Of course, when using the Keyword Tool https://adwords.google.com/select/Ke...rceLegacy=true you have the broad, phrase, exact and negative in the drop-down under Match Type. Simply use exact search and local for better stats.

G keyword tool is not 100% accurate so give and take.

Hey guys...You know what?It may not be exactly what it seemed...the domain name is homewarenty.com ..I know it is a mispelling but it actually came up with 14m results....After reviewing everything you warruiors have said...It seem that the results come up as....."Did you mean Homewarranty?" and then continues to show results for "home warranty" rather than "homewarenty"...

It still comes up with 14m results but not really...any thoughts on this

Results is not important, result means competitions, what matter the most is how many search the keyword have and where are you rank

I know this isn't strictly relevant to your question - but here are the results I get:
Firstly, as you said, it gives me the results for "home warranty" instead, and tells me there are 33,600,000.
If you click through a few times - you get to this
In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 907 already displayed.
To answer your question - if Google is going to ignore the misspelling, there's probably not a lot of advantage to it. I tried it on Bing and that also defaults to the correct spelling.

So probably not much use - the misspelling looks wrong amongst the correct results and might just give visitors the idea that you can't spell!
