Made a blog post, now what?

I am trying to work out a good system of things to do after I make a post on my site. I am looking for Warriors input on ideas to get that post indexed and worthy of the big G.

I use WP, and I have added a mass list of pings.
I use ping o matic as well on each post.
I bookmark each post with a handful of social bookmarking sites (nofollow and dofollow)

What else could I do?

    visit some other blogs in your niche and provide quality and helpful comments. Link back to your site so people from other blogs will also see your link. Do some guest posting to other blogs, that way you are stealing traffic from them and people will also visit your site once they see your ling on the resource box. Make sure to provide quality guest post.

    I've made 3 guest posts last week and it really helps me when it comes to added traffic to my site and I was able to add more subscribers in just 1 week.

    Submit your post to top article directories. Article marketing still works if you provide a valuable post.

    With that blog post, create a powerpoint and upload it to slideshare.net.
    Within the transcription, place a link to your to your blog post.

    Record youself speaking through the powerpoint slides and upload the video to YouTube with a link to your blog post.

    You can do a lot with each blog post you create such as changing it to an article and submit it to directories, compile a bunch of them into a free report.

    As long as you're willing to put in the work, you can spend a few hours every with every blog post you write.

    It all starts with writing insightful comments on other blogs in your niche. Build relationships, write great content on your blog and guest posting offers will roll in. Continue to guest post and network by writing thoughtful comments on other blogs to drive traffic to your blog.

    Respond to every comment on your blog. Visitors appreciate a responsive blogger and will likely return.

    You forgot one thing, you should do keyword research first before you make a blog post. That way you'll know keyword or keyphrase you wanted to rank for. IMHO
