what is the difference between the butterfly marketing original package and the open source code V?

For the main end user, the code is pretty much useless. And if they give you the code for free, you can't expect any support whatsoever or further development, or bug fixes. And you need to deal with all the technical part of installing it, etc.

You can do more solid websites using open source scripts like Joomla or Drupal; they have community support, ongoing development and much more flexibility... yet pretty much nobody on the IM community goes there, because they are tough to work around and maintain from the technical side.

Mike said he was moving to development and getting out of the guru's business the last time I followed his movements. This can be to build a list to offer a new version with the real needs covered. If I know a bit of how this works, it should be a hosted version with all the tech part done for you, and a monthly fee for it.

Of course... I might be wrong. he is a very talented guy, might come up with something completely new.
