Less Views From ArticleBase???

ArticleBase now put Google Ads above your articles!!

Sometimes they are on the left, sometimes on the right
and sometimes right above your article.

This has resulted in 30% less click through's to my
websites.

      Hey Alexa

You're talking about building a whole website for the niche and keeping your website's pages in the SE through backlinks from the article marketing campaigns.

I have few sites that have only a landing page. It's a presell page that leads to my affiliate. In that case I focus on keeping the article in directory at a high rank. I want to know if that's good or bad.

I sell my sites after a year or so.

      Cheers!

You know, it does cost money to run a article directory dont you? Would you prefer to pay a subscription fee instead?

I would be quite happy to pay a subscription fee.

I just think that having Google Ads to the right or the left
of the articles should produce enough income without
putting the ads directly above the articles.

Yeah I also observed it! My article in articlebase are getting viewed as what I've seen in their statics record. But checking my Google Analytics don't show any recognition from artilcebase.

Like Alexa was saying there is a "price" to pay for receiving their traffic and page rank value.

I don't think it's too bad... although it is annoying when some directories have a CRAZY amount ads all over the place.

Just think about it like this: If your title is unbelievably powerful and your content is highly effective and high quality, then it won't matter how many ads the directories have because the reader is going to be stuck on your content... and more likely YOUR link at the bottom.

In regards to ArticlesBase specifically, the fact that they let you place up to 3 links directly in the article body IMO is fair trade for them putting the amount of ads they put up (which is actually not that much compared to some other directories).

With all that said, according to analytics, I haven't noticed a dip in traffic from AB. In fact, I've been getting a whole lot more than usual.
