Create a product that you really know about. If you've written some articles before, you can even compile those articles and turn it into an ebook. Make sure to provide valuable information on it. Make your own design and graphics as well, or hire someone to do it for you but it costs you money, but you wouldn't mind the cost if you know the potential earnings of your product.

If you don't like writing an ebook, you can hire an excellent ghostwriter for a fee. Make sure to hire an excellent writer on this one. Do some research, look for what people want, not what you just want to create.

    Good luck.

The best way to start, like regsa says, is to find out what people want- participate in forums etc and see what kind of questions people are asking- over and over again.

You will also need a good converting sales letter, but again this can be outsourced if needed- again, make sure you hire a good copywriter.

You should do well if you run an (advanced) search on Google for . . . information products and/or ebooks.

There is really so much information out there covering the creation, publishing and marketing of information products.

Your task is to decide what kind of information you want to create and publish . . . and in what format you want to produce your information product.

Probably the most popular information product to create is an ebook, but there are many other formats to consider.

You have a choice to do an audio or video product, maybe a cd-rom or a dvd. There really are many ways for you to go.

I suggest you see what your Google search reveals and then decide which route you would like to take

Whichever way you decide to go . . . I wish you all the best.

    Be seeing you . . .

Don't create a product because it is well demanded,
create a product that you know stuff about, make it detailed and put stuff in it that was never been shared before.

Conner - here are 3 tips and a resource site you may find useful

      1. Narrow your search for a market & specific problem down by looking at existing demand for information. To start with, focus on topics within health & wellness, business/finance, relationships, or certain hobbies where there has been proof of people buying information

      2. Be specific and target a desired result...in other words, don't author an ebook about Losing Weight, but be specific about exactly what ugly fat your prospect is wrestling with emotionally - arm fat, belly fat, "get rid of thunder thighs"...etc

      3. Begin by putting up a website/blog now and start building traffic & a list so as you create your infoproduct you can survey your market, get some early testimonials & reviews and have a base to launch your product when it is done.

Here are several free/open articles, tutorials and videos on infoproduct creation and marketing you may find helpful. Create & market infoproducts.

This is absolutely FALSE! The cardinal rule for marketing is finding a starving hungry crowd and giving them what they want. If you are going to create a product you had better make sure it will be in high demand! If it isn't then how will it sell? If nobody wants it, then it is just going to sit online with nobody buying it.

I agree - a product should be in demand. You should be able to put your own spin on it to make it a bit different (and to enough people better) than the competition.

If you are passionate and knowledgeable that does help reduce the time and perceived effort in getting the product launched.

For "lifestyle" reasons you might choose a product that makes you less money but is more enjoyable to produce. This would ideally be a conscious decision to sacrifice money for enjoyment.

If you are lucky you can find something you love that also is in high demand.

        Agreed!

Another way of saying this would be, "Don't create a product that everybody wants. Create a product that nobody wants, as long as you know something about it."

        Very convoluted reasoning.

You know what they say about competition. If there is none there's probably a reason.

But having said that, the ideal would be to target a high demand niche for which you also have strong working knowledge. With so many high demand niches out there, that shouldn't be difficult.

Creating a product is all about filling the demand instead of creating product then look for someone to sell it to. If you need an idea just go over Amazon or Ebay and magazine sites for more targeted niche ideas by browsing through category sections. And check your self inventory.

Create product which you are very familiar with, the better your product is the more sales you can get.
