Yes Another Wordpress Question

Hi

I would like to use Wordpress as a website instead of a blog - is anyone aware of any resources (free hopefully) that would help with this?

What I have done is instead of using posts I have used all pages but I am really not sure if that is the best way to go about it as I now have a huge list of pages and am not sure if it really looks very good. I would post it here so you could see what I mean but I am not sure if that is allowed?

Anyway if anyone knows of anything please let me know.

    Use pages for the main information about the site, about you, how to contact you, the forum and any other main links that a web surfer might be interested in.

    Use posts for the content of the site or else you will get a bunch of links at the top or the side of the page that you won't be able to categorize. Without even looking at the page, just the way you described it, I bet visitors are having a tough time figuring their way around your site.

      If I do that is there a way of keeping the same page at the front of the site and not the latest post - if that makes sense?

      Just one more question - is there any way of converting pages to posts without starting from scratch. I doubt there is but just thought I would check as it has taken me ages to get where I am so far!! I guess it's a lesson to ask before I start, next time ;-)
