Making money with Squidoo and Hubpages

Hi i was wandering if anyone has had much luck making money with squidoo or hubpages i have some squidoo pages which rank high for there keywords yet ive only made $1.20! im not really sure how you make money with squidoo ive just been using them to get links for another site! so if anyone knows how would you care to share!

Also ive just started with hub pages i notice you can put adsense on these has anyone had much luck with them?

    Hub Pages and Squidoo are both good for either creating some quick income, although there is a minimum threshold, or traffic to your main site. The Adsense revenue share on Hub Pages leaves a lot to be desired with the 60/40 split. But both also have ability for Amazon and eBay affiliate links as well as allowing limited affiliate links.

    I like Squidoo because of the ability to directly link "lens" together, however recently Hub Pages has started something similar with their "Karma" addition.

    Hub pages, in my opinion, is getting better with 30% of their traffic coming from Google. With that said though, a lot of the traffic comes from other Hub members. Makes it good for traffic generation but not necessarily affiliate sales depending upon the niche.

    I only use squidoo and hubpages for back links, as far as making money from them I dont try to do it anymore. I would rather just install wordpress on my own server and create the page there.

      Thanks i do it for work to be honest and i thought if i could get some extra money out of it them even better, i supose its not going to be that much.

      Thisis a little idea i have in the pipeline! what do you put on those pages though adsense or join with a affiliate company and put those links on?

    I ranked a few hubs on keywords with high search volums, but I have just made pennies in return. They are very easy to get ranked and traffic, I just didn't see enough return to justify the work I put into creating the actual hub.

    Squidoo is pretty much useless for affiliate marketing unless if used solely for backlinks, it's kind of ironic in a way, a marketing forum, started by a marketer, for marketing, who now hates marketers.
