Hi,

I'm a first time Internet Marketer and I was hoping you guys could tell me

what you think of my first site... I'm trying to do the CONDUIT METHOD

(intercepting people looking for product reviews).

Any comments will be greatly appreciated...Thanks

Clean a simple, and not 3,000 words of repeated phrases. Simple is good.

I agree it is a good clean site, nice and easy to read.

The only thing I pick up on is you asking for a Last Name in your email submit form. I can't see why you would want to do that, as you are not really likely to use it in your autoresponder emails, and any extra field people have to type in diminishes conversion rates.

I would also change the subscribe box to say "Register for your free course here" instead of "Join Our Mailing List Here"

Fair warning: It's possible I'm arguing with you because I have nothing better to do.

  • It looks good to start, but I would try and get more important information above the fold...

It seems as though the space above the header image ("Insider Italian" with the image of guy) could be more effectively used, or taken out all together...

It is a great start, but some tweaks would make it even more effective!

I'd get rid of the ad for "herb garden" as I don't understand the relevance to learning Italian there.

I agree - very nice layout and simple squeeze page.

    Hi Will,

Good choice of colors, I also agree with Colin. You may want to mention right in the signup area that they will receive the course material as well.

Thank you so much for your advice guys, I'm going to implement your strategies straight away.

And yes that really was my first attempt but I did use
a weebly template which I edited for the site.

    Ciao

Everybody here has great suggestions and it's nice to see people helping you out with your first page. It looks nice man and if you keep polishing it a bit you will have something very good.

        Couple suggestions from me...

The header area and nav bar on the top is taking up too much space vertically. You need to somehow condense, remove, or free up some real estate there - you want to do this so you can bring some of the more information information above the fold. Maybe remove the top line "Insider advice on learning real Italian rapidly..." as it looks a bit out of place and not needed.

There is a lot of white space where it says "How To Rapidly Learn The Essential Italian You Need To Know When Visiting Italy". You might want to try and condense that a little bit as it will bring other items below there into the top of the fold.

Make the image of your book clickable to the URL Ultimo Minuto Italian - Insider advice on learning real Italian rapidly...

The section in the lower left with the lock somewhat overpowers and grabs the attention of the viewers eye more than your email optin form. My eyes are drawn more towards the image of the lock and the red font than your email optin form. Put more attention and bring the users eye to the email optin form.

On your email optin form, put "Name" first and then "Email" next. I would just use "Name" rather than First name, let people decide what they want to put there.

I would remove the word "Subscribe" from the email optin form. I would say something like "Get Your Free course now" or "Download Your Free Course Now". Make it sounds like it's instant and they can get it right now - they want it right now so present it to them that way.

The bottom left section with the lock and the email optin form are a bit smashed together. I would display the optin form with a bit more white space around it, maybe change placement a bit, and make sure the user can "clearly" see the email optin form, not just that they can see it, but it's right in their face ready for them to input their information.

Whatever you can do to bring more of the information above the fold would be great. You want to draw the user in and/or try and entice them above the fold, because people are lazy and some won't even bother to scroll if it doesn't look interesting. If you need to have the user scroll to get to your 'action' or 'call to action' make sure when they do scroll the action is right there clearly in their face. Tell them what the action does; in this case it's your optin form, so make them WANT to input their information.

Hope this helps... Take it for what it's worth. Good start with your first site man. Also keep in mind you can polish something forever and ever. I would say get it to a point where you are happy with it and then work on getting visitors to your site and make things happen in regard to traffic.

          Hi,

I agree with the previous writer. I would try and bring more content in above the top fold.
