What different ways to make money have you tried?

I see a lot of people talking about lots of different ways to make money online. Some have success stories but others don't.

I'm wondering, what different ways have you tried to make money online and which ones have you had success with?

Personally, I've had a lot of success with setting up little blogs to rank well on Google, product launches and lately Facebook ads.

So... What's working for you?

Sorry about the confusing poll! The question in the thread and the question in the poll are different. My bad!

I tried making money by blogging with adsense and direct sale advertisers, cpa offers, and affiliate products. The most success I have seen is with my various blogs and affiliate products. I have found that if you can drive targeted (interested) traffic to your website you will have great success no matter what method you choose to monetize with.

Adsense is really easy, but I really enjoy negotiating advertising deals directly.

You name it, I've tried it...

Well, not really. But I've dabbled in lots of things. Affiliate marketing of different kinds (still do a bit of that) and CPA (don't do that anymore). Now, my main thing is product creation.

In terms of traffic: Article marketing, video marketing, link-building, PPC, Media Buys... and I still do at least a bit of all those. Also, list-building and list-marketing, of course.

The thing is: My main focus is product creation. Each product builds my lists, so list-marketing is also part of the game. I promote my products through different channels and do SEO for the sites I sell them on etc. so it's really a mixed bag for me.

It's okay as long as I keep my main focus on creating products and don't let the other stuff distract me.

I've done PPC, article marketing, SEO - first manual now with senuke, email marketing, image board spam bots, social network spamming, etc.. TWITTER!

PPC / CPV is really where it's at if you use some of the smaller networks. no MASSIVE cpc's, and plenty of traffic to go around. I've successfully ranked a few sites on Google at #3 and #7, both with around 10k searches, but they don't make jack and I'm sick of SEO, so it's on the backburner. I've been doing alright with Ask.com's ppc network.. You can get 5 cent clicks for a lot of terms- if you use a massive keyword list you're sure to get traffic for next to nothing. Email submits that convert well are great for this..

I tried practically everything at least twice lol

Article marketing, high ticket programs, low ticket programs, mlm, surveys, seo, facebook, twitter, affiliate marketing...cpa...many more too...

I probably made a bit with some, but lost more with others in the beginning like PPC!

Most people do though, if you've started out online and instantly been successful then you're incredibly lucky!

I think it's all about finding one specific thing such as building a list, or niche blogging etc, and mastering it.

Once you learn about it, then you'll start making money :-)

    For me it's SEO :-)

Writing articles has paid the most so far... pay per 1000 views. Secondly would be developing web pages through Squidoo... that's starting to make more money than the articles I have written. Thirdly, selling products on Zazzle that I have created; I had a very good month last month. Of course, all of these efforts are tied in with one another and to my blogs.

I'm focusing more now on sales than information, and providing information to drive traffic to the web pages that make sales. We'll see how that boosts my income.
