Do You Like The Flippa Changes?

Yeah ... they've made their crap more prominent ... all their stupid little charts, etc. and our sales page less prominent, as if what the person who is selling the site has to say about the site is less important. I don't like it at all.

Ah ... then color me wrong. Glad you are listening because the new format is really awful. I've been a fan of most of the changes but this one just makes it difficult to present a nice looking ad. I understand the need to protect buyers but with as little harm to honest sellers is a bonus.

But do you intend to keep the display of those charts at the top of the listing? In your efforts to inform buyers (who should be grownups and able to inform themselves if they're out buying stuff), you're making our listings look terrible for one and the listings also now look and sound like .... be careful people. This buyer may be a scam artist, so check out all our little charts and make sure first. That instantly makes all of suspect, whether we deserve that or not.

If you are so concerned about buyers getting ripped off, concentrate on getting rid of the scam sellers rather than making it appear that all of us could be one.

Glad it's not just me that doesn't like the new changes- I think the old style listings were much easier to see at a glance, the listing itself did stand out a lot more.

I was also wondering about the same. I posted an auction few days back
but unfortunately I couldn't format it accordingly.
Hope you'll fix it Luke but then, too many of formatting option just invites more
horribly written auctions.

I must agree. Glad to see that Flippa is listening. They keep tweaking and making changes and it seems that it's for the sake of "playing around" since there have been a couple changes recently.

I'm not an old-timer when it comes to Flippa so I'm not a "I hate change" type of guy but I agree with sbucciarel they put all there stuff above the fold and shove our listing to the bottom. It's like they're trying to discourage people from bidding which is not cool when we're paying for the listing.

I'm all for transparency and giving full info to folks but my listing description should also be part of the mix.

It's like saying don't listen to this scammer... here is the real deal that we (Flippa) provide.

The changes are unnecessary and it is only going to make the situation worst. Listed a $400 per month site that has over 250 articles pointing to it from ezinearticles yet it was not sold.

It is high time this people start getting serious. I wonder who is giving them the silly ideas they are implementing.

I know Flippa Luke. We've had several discussions. I found him to be nice to chat with, but still with the buyer's preferences as a priority rather than what the seller needs from the ad they are purchasing.

As for my about page ... I don't bother with it. Might be why there's an error.

I have to agree somewhat with sbucciarel however, in the fact our sales letter is severely damaged.

Will you allow us to re-list our websites if they remain unsold, if they were initially listed while these "changes" were being made at all?

Well, I hope FlippaLuke is part of their PR department. I haven't listed a site since March but am thinking about listing several very soon. Considering my last listing SEVERAL people copied my site/style/headlines/USPs I think I might have a good thing going at Flippa.

But, I logged in the other day to check on listings and was VERY surprised by the F'd up layout.

I think I understand what they're trying to do, kinda like the effort of HIPs in the UK, they want to provide as much info for the buyer (fair enough) but they hadn't thought this one through very well. It's not just information, it's how it's presented that counts.

We've added back in the ability for sellers to take some creative license with their sales pages, however, at this stage we won't be moving the stats above the fold.
