Incorporating and Offshore Company

Anybody done this before?

Any recommendations on which agency to use for the formation?

I'm thinking BVI as the location, but I'm open to suggestions.

    It all depends on what you are trying to accomplish by going offshore. The benefits differ from country to country.

      Mostly I am aiming to turn my business into something that can be quantified, which means being incorporated, paying tax, keeping accounts.

      The reason for this is it has always been my plan to sell in a few years and retire properly.

      Additionally, in the short-term I would be looking to minimize my tax footprint, by using an offshore company with bank account as a funnel for all incoming funds.

        I once read a blog post about a guy that emailed the IRS explaining this same thing and asked which country he should use. The response was hilarious.
