Outsourcing reviews for Google Places/maps

Hi
I am selling a client on a Google places maintenance package ...where I principally post reviews onto their page from off line comment cards.
I am being led to believe that if I simply log in and add reviews after 3 or 4 from the same IP and email , google will do the equivalent of excommunication and lock the listing --which would not make me look good at all. I'd be SED Search Engine Destruction expert not an SEO expert

So for every review posting i am told I need a unique email address and to use a proxy server to hide the IP. Is this correct?
I can see how this could look black hat but I am NOT spamming and these will all be legitimate reviews.
So my question is how should I do this ... can anyone help?

Is this for 1 client only?
How many times can you expect to "legitimately review" a single business & not be spamming them?
What type of business is this?
Have you actually tried his products / services?

Thanks for responding Ken but I think I confused you. I would simply be inputting the reviews for this one client - a hair salon. It would NOT be my review multiple times...he would generate them from actual customers in store. That's what I meant by genuine reviews. I just want a way to input them so Google doesn't block the listing. Thoughts?
