All most all time I am getting "server not found" page while opening my website. I am using wordpress and domain hosted at godaddy shared hosting.
Why this "server not found" page is coming?
#found #godaddy hosting #server #server not found

The first thing to check is to make sure that it's not just you that's having this problem. Use this website and type in your url: - Down for everyone or just me?

You also need to make sure that you have changed the DNS info on the domain to point towards your hosting account. GoDaddy will tell you what this is.

I checked that and answer is this: It's not just you! mywebsite looks down from here.

DNS is is pointed towards hosting account, there is no problem with DNS

How long has the DNS been pointing towards your account? It can sometimes take up to 48 hours to take effect. Although for me in the U.K. it seems to take about 12 hours, sometimes less before I can view a new domain.

If you've only just purchased the hosting and changed the DNS, you probably just need to wait a bit longer for the domain to propagate.

I've just re-read your original post and noticed you've said you are using Wordpress. So you must have been able to connect to your hosting account or FTP your webspace in order to install Wordpress?

I think he meant he HAD a working site and now it's saying server not found.

Napoleon, I think you need to talk to GoDaddy.

If that's the case, then Kathy is right - you will be better off raising a support ticket with GoDaddy.

There is no need of going to FTP for installing wordpress in godaddy. In godaddy hosting connection, you can install cms/blog by clicking buttons.
I am pointing this DNS for one month.
Any way I will contact with godaddy support team soon..

        Thanks reply

Take the advise given above and get in touch with GoDaddy.

It doesn't matter if you installed WP via FTP or did it by "clicking buttons." At some point, you WERE able to connect with your server.
