G'day warriors .

I'm running several new traffic campaigns and one simple traffic generation technique that i never really tested was blog carnivals. This is an simple and easy way to generate more traffic from your articles. Just submit your articles to the appropriate channels and boom you should receive some extra visitors. Try it out, the most established blog carnival network i know of is here: Blog Carnival - Blog Communities Publishing Magazines

Best of luck.

Stuff like that works for a minute but when Google figures out what you did you can easily get your site sand bagged and pushed back to page 100.

Honestly I will take 4 good articles over 10k intermediate articles because your site will be there forever without worry.

Not to mention in order to keep the link juice of your articles and site you have to keep people on the page for more than 30 seconds, spam will not get you there

It seems that you re confused because you said you would take 4 good articles over 10k intermediate articles? I think you think this is some type of article spinning technique?? Well if so, you're mistaken.

Doesn't that suggest to you that it can't possibly be true? (It certainly does to me.)

        Indeed.

Isn't a blog carnival just like this aggregate of blogs that all feed their posts into one centralised site, or something? {I'm hazy on it.} Just seems like a blog community or circle rather than any kind of SEO scheme. Why would Google penalise for it? Long as it isn't spun content..

I would agree with this. There are marketers who focus solely on ppc and there are marketers that focus solely on article marketing, video marketing, etc.

Blog carnivals are a huge source of traffic and backlinks for me in a few of my niches, fitness especially.

Write a good article in a blog carnival and you can go viral quickly.

    Alexa is right too.
