I am not sure so I am asking you....If a Keyword has 74000 searches per month and 123000 results in google is this a good keyword? Senuke says don't waste your time! What others factors come in consideration? This is a keyword in my own laguage!

Here are some that I look at:

    PR of top 10 website
    Backlinks of top 10 websites
Keyword Density of top 10 keywords

EDIT: In other words, the only competition you have is the top 10 results. Don't worry about the millions of sites on 1000001th page

I find it easier to use WordTracker, it will assess the number of searches and the amount of competition and it assigns a KEI. The higher the KEI the easier it is to rank for that phrase.

    Hey there,

For me I have used word tracker. But I have been taught several different things. Like 10,000 searches and between 1-3,000,000 in results in google. I have had some success with that. And the guy I'm working with now says shoot for 1,000 searches and less than 10,000 results in google. So I guess it differs from who you are learning from.

Yes, sounds like a good amount of searches!

Make sure it is really targeted and a buying keyword and i say go for it - yes with that amount of competition it will be harder work to get ranked but may be well worth it...
