Use Adwords to buy some traffic. Although this would cost you but it is a quick way to get some targeted to your landing page.

Then after 50-100 subscribers do some adswaps with people with similar size lists and then grow your list.
You might even get your list upto 500 using these 2 methods.

    So using Adwords + Adswaps

By the way, I am speaking from experience and have done this myself!

    Good luck !

You can build a list of 200 in a few hours with a WSO. If you wanted non warriors on the list then just do the WSO and use a viral "tell a friend" script. There is a great Viral Script on the WSO forum right now.

In your experience, are using tell a friend scripts a valid strategy for people in the IM niche? I usually just ignore them or put in 5 or 6 of my throw away email accounts.

I used "tell a friend" loosely here. There is a script in the WSO forum that actually makes it likely that the tell a friend would work out. My only real experience with tell a friend is the several times I've used it and it's been used on me 99% effective in those cases with limited use. My post above was based on the fact that I'm very impressed with the script a warrior is offering on the WSO forum. It's the most viral and friendly I've seen in my limited experience with Tell a Friend. I would bow to your experience Ron.

Totally agree with George - should take you a day or less.

I love offering the FREE webinars/ recording in the WSO.

Another method is a simple squeeze page for a FREE educational HOW To webinar and use facebook ads to advertise and PPC.

And go for monetization of that free webinar by pitching a great deal at the end and even after they sign up for the webinar -

Instead of the plain ol gotowebinar confirm page...you can configure in the webinar set up settings, to take the person to a url instead -

.... make it a OTO type offer or just a great offer for $7 to $27 bucks price range to start building your sales funnel with buyers too!

Did you mean to post a WSO, pay $20 and give your product away for free in exchange for the email address of the potential subscriber?

    A Favorite System:

    1) Build a Short "7 Secrets to ____________" PDF Guide
    (Build Time 4 Hours....tops)

    2) Throw together a Squeeze Page with a Headline, Opt in, and a Video Slot.

    3) Records a Quick (1 minute or less) video on a flip or webcam detailing the report. (if you want to know what to say in the vid...just ask!)....I do most of my selling in the video...and don't mess much with extra text on the page (see http://www.chirocaptivation for an example)

    4) Put the page together and set up the auto-responder to send out the report when they opt in.

    5) Set up a quick, targeted Facebook Ad Campaign and drive traffic to the squeeze page.

If you can't drive 200 signups in 10 of the 30 days.....something is wrong and you just need to do some tweaking to your setup.

You're going to spend a little cash here....but worth it if you have a good backend product!

    Hope that helps!

Create a squeeze page built using that viral list machine software > drive traffic via ppc, articles etc and bobs your uncle. That'll probably bring in 200 in a matter of days if you do it right.

You can build a list of 200 subscribers in 30 days easily using this method:

    1. Write articles. Submit the articles to popular article directories, and then convert your articles into a .pdf and download to Scribd.com and Docstoc.com. In addition to this, create a powerpoint presentation from your articles and upload the presentations to slideshare.net.

    2. Forum marketing. Join a popular forum related to your niche market that allows signature links. Put a link in your signature to a squeeze page offering a free report. By contributing valuable information to a forum, you can get a lot of traffic to your squeeze page!

    3. Solo ads. Don't just purchase a crappy solo ad, but take the time and effort to find someone who is offering a mailing to a targeted, responsive list. You can find many people on this very forum doing this. Make sure that you ask for the size of the list, average open rates, CTR, and the amount of unique clicks per mailing. Of course this will vary according to the quality of your offer and the target audience, but the list owner should be able to give you a general idea!

You could build a list of 200 people in a single week if you use this method correctly!

Well I only visit the Warrior Forum JV section at the moment, but I will probably try other places in the future, but I need to find those places. I have heard second-hand that IM seminars are a good place too.

Advertise on a high traffic keyword on one of the PPV sites, you can get tons of traffic and signups for pennies if you have a short, relevant, well written squeeze page with a strong call to action. This works well, but the squeeze page has to be top notch.

Ive got a Facebook system that generates groups with memberships of just under 5k in about a week or so. Depending on the ethical bribe we use to get them to join the group you can generate lists by having the bribe as an opt in after joining the group. Not to mention you can direct message folks within the group as well (if it's under 5000 members) I typically pull the plug around the 4700-4800 mark.

Cost to implement is roughly $600, but you can recoup the costs quickly if the front end offer is a CPA one.

200 subscribers in 30 days are pretty easy if you have a proper game plan that will work. For me, it would be:

        1. Write and submit 1-2 articles per day and submit it to top 10 article sites.

        2. Forum marketing - Make at least 10 posts each to 5 forums in your niche.

        3. Blog commenting - I do blog commenting every day and put 1 comment for 50 blog sites in my niche.

        4. Guest posting - Make a guest post at least 1-2 times per week. Contact a blog owner with a high traffic blog and ask to write a guest post for them. Make sure that the article is unique. i once wrote a guest post at johnchow.com and it generated me 23 subscribers from one post alone. This is really powerful!

By just doing this free methods consistently, it would take you around 2-3 hours per day, and you will see the results steadily, just stick to the plan.

Well since you're capturing leads on both of the sites in your sig file, I can't help but wondering what your motives for asking this question are.

The cynical side of me thinks perhaps this is a ploy to get ideas to swipe and put into some sort of list building report/product for your own benefit. If you get 20 different yet specific replies on how to build a list of 200 in 30 days, you might launch a "4,000 subscribers in 30 days" type deal.

The good natured side of me doesn't know what to think your true motives are, but would be glad to hear them and issue an apology for the cynical side if need be.

      Hi Lance,

First off, thanks for visiting my sites. No ploy here, your cynical side is forgiven. I posted this question out of curiosity. While you're right that I do have sign ups on my site, I am struggling to get subscribers. I don't have 200, 100 not even 50 subscribers at the moment. It's hard nowadays to employ the same tactics that was used a couple years ago because I believe that most people are already "numb" to some of the tactics us affiliate marketers use. That is why I posted this question to find out if there are any unique ideas that affiliate marketers are doing or if anyone is thinking out of the box in order to build their list.

You're idea about putting a report on list building never occurred to me and for all I know, someone could have started doing that already. I know there are many fellow warriors here who can help me out and I know that this is the right place to ask. So thanks to everyone that has replied so far. I know for a fact that this question has not only benefited me but a lot of other warriors as well.

Keep the replies coming guys. I really do appreciate it.

Forum marketing especially if it's internet marketing related on forums like Warrior Forum, Digital Point, V7n Ect.

It worked really well for me. I gave away my FREE FBML Code on these forums through my sigs and not only did I get quite a few opt ins. I got very high ranking on Google for the term FBML Code, Viral FBML Code. I rank on the first page for both I believe.

Both Very Competitive terms which got me quite a bit of traffic!

Ofcourse you also need a Good Offer or free giveaway.

what you do with your list is up to you. the old cliche "the money is in the list" is quite true if you take care of your subscribers. Don't bombard them with affiliate offers all the time every day of the week.

I personally like to subscribe to different marketers just to see what they have to offer after I opt in their list. most of the time, I would get swamped with offers and products that I end up opting out of their list.

You want to give your subscribers useful content and ideas and once you gain their trust, then you can start promoting affiliate products. I would rather have a list of 100 targeted and hungry buyers that 1,000 subscribers who just waits for something free.
