I am lost with this Affiliate marketing

Hi all I hope i am in the right place to ask some questions in regard to making an income on line... I started Affiliate marketing about 1 year ago and using key word research tools, i now have a number of sites which are getting traffic. I am using the web 2.0 techniques for back links and also some ...article marketing of late. My sites are robotic and i still make no income from them... robot clickbank and amerzon and blog post, wprobot... to a niche and it is just not working for me, i guess i am here to find out what am i doing wrong... why will it not work for me, hmmm ??? should i just be working on one site ? or should i be working on 30 sites, should i tern my best ranking robot site in to my main blog site ? should i be getting in to web site flipping, all that and more I have payed for info i have done that 30 day thing and so on...... should i be trying one page web sites with click bank products ??? thank you all.... I need to start over i am sooooo lost

Can some one please tern the light on...

    Don't get into website flipping or anything else cause it'll take you off your affiliate marketing goals.

    Affiliate marketing - the (oversimplified) basics are traffic & conversions.

    Sounds like you're getting the traffic but not the conversions. So, either tweak your message and/or change your product.

    And hopefully you have been building a list of potential purchasers over this past year? If you have not, then start that today!

    Hello

    There are many different things may hurting your sites to not converting though, it might be due to irrelevant contents, lacking traffic, or not sending pre qualified traffic, or on and off SEO optimization etc. Since you not giving us enough information it's really hard to say anything. You said you did some article marketing but how often how did you do it? You should be using article marketing daily though.

    From your description I get the feeling you are working hard on traffic to your sites but not that much on converting that traffic to subscribers and buyers (or you just neglected to mention all that...).

    If you could give us more information on what you do on those sites (or send a link in a PM)....

    If you have traffic coming to your sites but no conversion, maybe you will have to ensure that the products you are promoting are in demand. Products are not the same. Some are in great demand and some are not. Good luck.

    Hay thank you all , i have to say i have not got a list , so how do i do that do i add a awebber to my sites or is there some other way. below are some of the sites i have been working on to give you an idear, do i have the niche right ? as in i am sticking to the niche i have started... and do robotic blogs like mine make income ??? any way please keep the idears coming to me thank you.

      You are getting some good advices here. Build your list, that should be your number 1 priority. Instead of focusing on driving traffic to your site to get a sale, why not give a valuable product for free? So, drive traffic to a site that offers a free but valuable product, build your list, then do affiliate marketing in your email once they become your subscribers. Really, affiliate marketing doesn't have to be too complicated, if you have thousands of subscribers, then affiliate marketing for you would be much more easier.

      But don't get me wrong here, once you build a list, make sure to build relationship as well, don't just make an offer in every of your email. Provide newsletters, quality articles, more useful gifts to your subscribers, treat them as your friend.

      I've been doing this for 6 months now and I'm not earning big money yet, but I do earn a passive income of $10-$20 a day doing this. What I do is, I focus all my energy in building my list, drive traffic to my squeeze page, and on the 7th or 8th email, I recommend something that would be useful for them, a low cost product around $7-$10.

        I got some good advice about building a list so I will pass it on to you. Give away something free that is a "best list" of sorts like

        5 secrets to Buying Your Home for 20% Less Than List Price

        or

        The Millionaires Investment Plan from the World's Richest Men

        Something compelling and simple that they are so curious about they just have to get it.

        As soon as they opt-in, survey them using survey monkey or another free software to find out what it is they want from you. That way, you can sell more affiliate products because you will know exactly what they want.

        With survey monkey, you make a survey and then you can put it on your web page or send it to them as a follow up email.

        There are many auto-responders including free wordpress software, Aweber, Get-response, Constant Contact...and on and on.

        You can learn a lot about lists and getting them to convert just from reading the free tutorials from Aweber and other auto-responder services.

      This is by far the best advice in this thread. Instead of trying to piecemeal tips together and continuously throwing the spaghetti against the wall to see whether or not it sticks, I recommend you find someone with a successful affiliate marketing business plan, and follow that plan to the letter. Asking your questions in the manner you have is likely to get you, at best, a lot of conflicting advice, which is likely to leave you just as confused and no further ahead than where you were before asking.

    It is really easy to get lost with affiliate marketing, but it seems that you are getting traffic so you definitely do not need to give up. If I could give you one piece of advice, I would say to focus on 4-5 niches and start building a list in each niche.

    Building a targeted email list gives you the potential to reach thousands of people by just sending an email. It is not easy to build a list, but you need to maximize your traffic in order to build a business for the long haul.

    So, I guess I would say focus on a few sites, and build a list!

    Its definitely sounds like you need to work on conversions. Buy yourself of testing tool or use the AP split test tools from google( they are a little harry to setup but they work) and figure out what is happening to your visitors. This will be worth while and once you figure out why one site is not converting since you built all these sites, then you may realize what you need to do with all of them.

    You may want to read up on building a converting landing page for Affiliate offers. I'm not sure if you are going with just programs like Clickbank or working with CPA type programs too. I've found that CPA offers can sometimes convert better with less effort than other types of affiliate offers. Of course it all depends on how you set up your campaigns.

    So, you're getting traffic but the problem is your conversion, right?
    Here's where you need to spend some time.
    1. Niche
    2. Copywriting

    It's possible that you can't monetize your niche. But, if you have 30 different sites/offers then you should come across one that can be monetized.

    Next, you need to spend some time on copywriting. I suggest you study John Carlton or Dan Kennedy. Your Headline, bullets and call to action need to be compelling.
    If you don't want to spend that much time on this then copy your competition. It's not recommended but if you're stuck and need some inspiration to continue then this may be an avenue for you.

    I'm not really any further ahead than you (I make sales, but not with any consistency), but as you worded it in your post "the light" has just come on for me recently, and its just a matter of me implementing my newly made plan once I have the spare time (in a few weeks).

      Affiliate marketing can be a nebulous term to many. Some only associate it with things like Clickbank where they do not have control of the website. I only have one affiliate site where I do not have control of the content. Are the sites you have created sites where you have control of content? If you're not getting the sales, you're either not getting the traffic or you need to improve your sales copy or both.
