What will you do with 500+ Products?

hello Warriors,

I have with me a delima of sorts...

Sitting in my folders are a list of 500+ products from various niches.
They are in the form of articles and products from various niches.
They are PLR and MRR products

What would you do if you had 500+ products?
How would you monitize them?

cheers
hari

Depenging on the legal stuff provided by the creator, I'd create a garage sales of some sorts...
If there are some that can be given away, give em away to build list.
    hope this helps...

I am subscribed to a site called Niche-A-Day where you receive a different niche idea each day. Maybe you could do something like that.

I am happy for them to sell to me now and again cos they are giving me some great ideas each day

Build a simple downloads membership site, offer everything you have the rights to- for a monthly fee or one time payment.

There is also an interesting War Room thread by someone with the same problem, and a simple and cheap solution.

      Best!

I have been going through some PLR materials I have.

There is a lot of it that is total crap that I would be ashamed to put my name or reputation on.

Dull, repetitive churned out garbage that some membership sites seem to love.
Some of it is so bad, it would be impossible to rewrite and make it worthwhile.
It is nothing but words, not meaningful content.

Read some of your material before you decide you have a goldmine.

This should depend upon many factors...

    * how old are they, have they been used and abused by millions of people already.

    * what kind of quality are they, we talking great information here or fluff and filler information.

    * Is there a market need for the current information.

Those 3 questions should be asked to yourself before you do anything else..

I wouldn't be able to do quality control on 500 products, nor would I be interested in offering that many, therefore I'd throw out almost all of them.

It's all just digital data, maybe someone can use it or maybe not.

It really don't matter how great it is or not, someone will be able to use some of it.

Don't make it complicated, just upload the stuff to a password protected folder.

Scan it all for virus and so on.

Create a slightly rewritten sales page from one of the MRR products.

Slap a PayPal button on it and charge $10 recurring per month membership.

Create a TOS and disclaimer page stating no support on products and they are "as-is"
      with no guarantees.

At least let it earn enough to pay for your hosting and other IM efforts.

From some of the threads I've been reading lately about the "Big Marketers" and their recent products, you probably can't provide much worse.

Good luck and best of success!

I think Bob has a major point here. The question you have to ask is:

Do you want to be like every other pimp out there (pardon the word), or do you want to really make a name for yourself as someone who gives true value?

I don't think that is the question at all, I think it's about a regular person who needs to put a bunch of excess "stuff" to work and monetize it somehow and also earn a living.

Personally, I could care less about being a "name" in IM, that don't pay the bills.

Most of the richest marketers around here are names you never hear anyway.

      Best!

You throw that 'also earn a living' in there like it's some sort of afterthought.

If you want to earn a solid living online, you have to take care of your reputation. People have to recognize you as someone who delivers value.

Without that, you might be able to pass off a bunch of garbage and make some bucks. But you won't have a solid business. You wouldn't have a solid living.

There is a fellow warrior looking for some products to sell.

I am sure you could donate a couple to him.

I would also create a small fee membership site and offer 10/month.
You have enough for 4 years.

I wll find the member and put it here in just a min.

To those saying the product quality does not matter, I will have to disagree with... You need to go through each one of your products and make sure they are up-to-date information and of high quality.

Yes quality matters more than what most think. I have been in the development business long enough to know that if I produce a crappy site then I will make no sales.. Matter fact if I produced crappy sites I would not have been in business for over 15 years.

Fact is if you sell me a crappy and out-of-date information product then I am not going to blame "XYZ" for making a crappy product, I am going to blame you for selling me such a crappy product and trust me I will not be back to buy anymore.

You are actually better off taking those products and learning as much as you can from them. Then go do additional research for up-to-date information on whatever topics the products may be on. Ask questions if need be and get feedback.. Once done then create your own product that will be 100% unique and would be yours.

If you do this with 2 or 3 products a month then you can output 2 or 3 new products every single month that will be of high quality and look good on you as your customers will come back for more. Build a site for each new product, add your opt-in forms, list the product for a decent price, run a WSO for a lower price.

Doing this will net you a better income then just slapping crappy out-of-date products on a site for $10/month..

Quality and Reputation mean a lot in this business no matter what anyone tells you ...
