[QUESTION] How to write follow-up emails to promote a product in few steps?

Hey people,

I am having trouble in filling up my autoresponder with follow-up emails... Currently I am promoting an affiliate product... I already set up my squeeze page, have the valueable free gift ready... All I need now is to drive traffic and follow up my subscribers.

I have several traffic tactics in mind that I am going to try BUT my biggest problem now is to write follow-up emails that effectively promote my affiliate product.

I would like to learn how to write them strategically to promote just that ONE affiliate product at a time.

If you have any system or experience in this area, mind to share with me?

THANKS!!!

PS: I think 6-10 emails should be enough to promote a product intensively? Heard of pre-sale and post-sale emails... kind to share about it? Anyone outsource your email marketing? (But in my opinion we shouldn't outsource this as this is the most effective way to build relationship with your potential customers)

Leave your comment below! Let's have a great discussion.

Thank you very much!

What are you offering in your squeeze page? If it's an ebook about a particular subject or niche, try to send at least 5-7 newsletters or articles every 2 days to warm them first and build relationship. And then on the 7th or 8th email, you can recommend a product that is related to your niche. Try to recommend a low cost product first, say, $7-$17, just to test it and see if your subscribers are responsive and will buy. Don't be too blatant on promoting a product, you can sell without really trying to sell.

I assume that there is a ready-made email on the affiliates page of the vendor's product, just copy and paste it, much better to change some of the words and sentences to suit your style and personality.

On your next set of email, continue providing them valuable articles or newsletters, but at this point, you can add a "PS" at the bottom part of your email asking them if they took advantage of your last offer. Make sure that the article or newsletter is related to the product. For example:

    Thank you for reading, firstname.

    Kind regards,

    Your name

PS: Did you take advantage of (product name) yet? If not, get your copy now while discount offer is still available. For just $10, it's really a great deal. =)

Make sure to build a really good relationship first, and I suggest to recommend a low cost related product to test their responsiveness.

I also promote a $10 report about list building, and this really works for me. I set it up on the 7th part of the email, and now it's giving me a nice passive income and the commissions are 100% directly to my Paypal account.

    Hope this helps.

      Hey regska,

      Thanks for your help!

Yes. I am giving away a rebranded report (provided by the product owner), which has my affiliate links included at my squeeze page. The ready-made email provided is very limited that's why I have to write more follow-up emails myself.

For example the report that I'm giving away is "7 tips to weight loss" (with affiliate links included) and my ultimate goal is to push my subscribers to buy the "weight loss xyz" product.

Now, how should I create my email content? I hope my subscribes really read the report since it is good quality and help to pre-sell a lot the product itself, and my affiliate links are embeded in the report.

On the other hand, I want to promote the proudct xyz eventually.

So, am I right to say that my "warming-up" emails are to direct my subscribers to read that report, maybe by extracting and discussing one or two of the tips included in the report. And at the 7th or 8th email, I direct them to the product xyz itself?

      What do you think?

I give awesome tips to my suscribers. I send emails every 2 days. In about every email I tell them about what I'm gonna talk about in the next email to increase the open rate. And I only really promote my product once every 3 emails or manage to talk about my product while giving a great tip or success story.

I never push my subscribers to hard. I'm being funny and try to write catchy titles but that don't sound overly promotional. I know they receive a ton of emails from other marketers. Oh and I've stopped writing my titles with upper and lower case, I just write them normally and the open rate is higher than 50% and the click rate is increasing.

    Just my 2 cents,

    Louise

Thanks for your solid advice! I have finished writing my emails and start to drive traffic from now.
