UK - How long did it take for your first cheque to clear?

I guess it differentiates between different banks, but how long before your first cheque cleared?

I'm with Lloyds btw.

    LLoyds usually take about 5 -10 days to clear. Do hate having to fill out the b/s paperwork for Foreign cheques. Natwest usually a bit quicker, however my last cheque i paid in for $500 took about 3 weeks.

      If it's an international cheque, or in dollars, make sure that you find out the fee for cashing it before you put it in. For some banks, this runs to £20 or more. With this, it's often not worth cashing a cheque below several hundred dollars.

      Somebody posted a website on her where you can cash your cheque online and then deposit into your bank account.

      I just cant find the thread.

      Clickbank states you must have 2 cheque payments sent to you before you can switch to direct deposit.

      Amazon US still send cheques to UK affiliates (not sure if it's the same for everyone outside the US)

      My sorry excuse for a bank, RBS, took weeks upon weeks to cash my first Clickbank cheque and it was £20+ fee. Now it's within days and the charge is £7.

        I am with Barclays and my first clickbank cheque took 3 weeks before it cleared in to my account.. A bit long but main thing it gets there in the end..

    My first click bank cheque took 4 months,,lol.. ya its a long time...but after that I recieved check in next 20 days.....
