when you first started out did you develop a sales funnel, or did you just create a product and sell it?

reason i'm asking is because i'm getting alot of different advice on this topic. Part of me wants to just put a product out there and sell it and worry about back end sales later, the other part is like work on the sales funnel then create upsells that way when the product is launched, the whole sales funnel is complete.

i'm conflicted, in my mind i keep hearing Dan Kennedy's voice saying "start before you're ready",

what are your thoughts?

You can make funnels out of your products and services at any time. Just get started, yes, then grow, trying different combos, different packages, different upsells. It's a process: just jump in and revise as you go, that can work fine.

Too many people wait for THE perfect combo or funnel. Not necessary.

I'm jumping in with both feet. I got the ball rolling for 2 products, now it's time to get them created, mini site designed and approved by clickbank.

Quite often the only way to find out what the "right" funnel is, is by trying and keeping track of the results. How can you know which upsell is the best and at what time in the buying cycle unless you try it?

true. i dont have any preconceived notions of what will or won't work. I'm just gonna put the product out there, promote it and let the market decide. I'm more concerned with being profitable than being "right".

Ready. Fire. Aim. Might as well. Some can never quite pull the trigger. Glad to hear you jumped in feet first.
