What delivery system do you use?

When you guide prospects to your landing page (or squeeze page) and give them a freebie (like a free report or e-book)in exchange for their information, how do you deliver the freebie? With something like DLGuard, or what?

I realize this is or should be one of the most basic of things you do, yet my search has not revealed a nuts and bolts answer.

A very pedantic answer would be appreciated.

For freebies, I don't use any special kind of delivery system (DLGuard or the like). I just redirect them to a download page on my site after they opt in.

I use Aweber for my autoresponders, and I use the download page URL on my site as the "confirmation success page" in the list settings. So when they confirm their opt in, assuming it's a double opt-in list, they're redirected to the download page after they confirm their subscription.

The first email in the AR series also includes a link to that page usually, so they can get back to it if something goes sideways after they confirm.

Once in a while, I might also use the download page as the "thank you page" in the web form properties - the page they see after they sign up, but before they confirm their subscription. I'd only do this if getting the freebie into their hands is the most important thing though, because there's less incentive for them to confirm if they've already received the freebie.

    Hope that helps.

MemberWing. It's Digital content protection allows to use the same link (it could be video or link to PDF download). But free visitors will see "teaser" version of stuff, vs. members will get full version when clicking on the same link.
So even if premium member shares link with someone who is non-member - they all will see free version of PDF, unless they'll become full members.
