Amazon S3 - Rough $/Month Guesstimates?

I'm looking to move a few videos of mine on over to Amazon S3.

Thing is, their site is pretty nerdy and over my head!

I'm just trying to get an idea of how much per month it'd cost.

Currently I'm paying ~ $20-25/month for a few .mp4 videos of mine at MotionBox (but they got bought out by Snapfish and I gotta move my stuff).

I have 2 videos that are less than 3 minutes ... and 4 or 5 of them that range from 10 - 15 minutes each.... probably about 250 - 300 MB total. And each get ~100 views each month or so...?

Any of you have experience with them and could give an estimate of what you pay (or at least a rough figure of what you'd think my couple of vids would cost?)

  It sounds like AS3 would be cheap.
  
  300MB times 100 = 30GB X $0.15 per GB = $4.50 a month.
  
  That's assuming my math is correct, and even I won't make that assumption.

  Oh wow ... ok, yeah, that's way cheaper than I thought.
  
  Now, I'm guessing with Amazon... that "batteries aren't included" right?
  
  You probably gotta get some sort of video player & other extras too?
  
  So, what's a simple breakdown of what to get in order to start using them?
  
  - Sign up for Amazon _________? (I'm guessing straight up S3?)
  
  - Use ________ to upload? (saw a free FoxFire plugin mentioned on another thread?)
  
  - Get ________ to play videos? (looks like FlowPlayer is free?)

  Don't know if someone else replied to you already via pm, so I'll post this here.
  
  You can download the free version of Cloudberry and upload videos to S3 - it's very easy. Then you can use the hana-flv free plugin on your Wordpress sites to play the videos - works seamlessly.

Amazon S3 is dirt cheap. I have a lot of videos on it and yes ... it's very nerdy, but once I got the hang of it, it's ok .... and only about 2.50-3.00 per month and I have quite a few videos there.

Oh ... forgot. I use Amazon S3 Flow Shield to upload everything. Makes it a lot easier. Had to buy it though, it's not free
