Creating an ebook (accepting payment and security)

I tried to search for a topic with this info, but couldn't find it, so I'll ask here.

I'm writing an ebook to sell, and I have a few questions.

1. I noticed that I must have the authority to accept credit card payments and such. Clickbank does this automatically which is nice, but they are shaving nazis (they take 7.5 percent of your profit, plus 1 dollar, and that doesn't even include the fact that if an affiliate advertises it, I lose 50% more).

Is there a better way to be able to be qualified to take payments so that I get all of the money from my ebook?

2. How does purchasing my ebook work? What program or service do I need to get that allow them to purchase and receive my ebook quickly and has that snazzy "buy now" button you see on every webpage like that, and prevents them from just typing in the ebook url in their browser and getting it for free?

    I use clickbank combined with DLGuard. If you want to have affiliates sell your ebook too clickbank is the big dog in the room. DLGuard is a clickbank product and it's GREAT. You can even buy through your own affiliate link to save half the price.

      Any first hand experience on using clickbank?

      If you do end up letting them charge you up the wazoo just to use them, have you guys noticed that affiliates will start supporting you without you having to campaign all over the internet searching for affliates?
